Balloonin Daze

It was a nifty day today. Starting out with getting out of the house 15 minutes early. Hitting coffee and picking up orange juice. Then getting settled kicking dirt on the ground and watching the heavy cloud layer curl and ripple. Big moon too.

Bob went right at it and started setting up. We were trying a new way of doing things and just plopped the basket out of the back of the trailer and then rolling the envelope and fan out..  then turning the truck around and tying off to the front hooks. Worked nicely. Good idea Eric.

Monsters in the Northern Clouds.

We did have a wind shift right at the hot inflation and so that tried to slam the throat closed but just waiting for it to come around. It did and we got the envelope nice and tight. Then Mo got in and I adjusted for trim then handed it over.

Vista at 500.

By that time Bob and Keith had taken off and hit the high 13 and were heading North. We lifted into the same stream and ran almost right up Unser. Okay.. I think we did except when we dropped out to grab a bit of East.

Mo checks out our height.

Eric was behind us and ddi catch up when we were at 6 low over the sand...

That nice burn of a Lindstrand main. Three lines down. Black Candystripe and Green.

Mo did a nice landing then back up and ground tracked up a hill and over it to the East.

ZK and the shadow of PH.

Mo tacked toward another balloon and then sat it down in a soft dirt patch.

Our shadow almost looks like we are flying across a wall of rock.

Laid it out and pack her up. Fun!.

Our earlier balloon friend who was using the nice dirt patch to lay out in.

Two cameras on. GoPro and the 360. Both videos came out great. The GoPro caught the inflation and deflation as well as the envelope through the flight. The 360 got everything else. Me hanging backwards over the basket edge to get some pictures. Yes I was that comfortable with Mo's flying. He only worried me once while I was hanging over the basket backwards and out and he grabbed a rotation vent. It jiggles. Funny. The tailgate after was a combination of that and Easter with Easter Ham and Easter bread as well as the staples of Chili Cubes and cheeses and such. We never did get to the champagne and orange juice.

Basic spread. For Fiesta think four times as much.

My facebook background. Big moon. I took another that was much nicer.

Logo from the back of Bobs trailer. He stole it so I stole it from him.. hahahahaha....

Ahhh now to finish up some other things then look at the videos.
