555 Posts.

I have posted 555 posts in a row. I have not missed one day. Regardless of where I was, how I felt, who was kicking me under the table. I am pondering dropping it back to weekly. It's that time thing. I find I have time and then I find that time has been upsurged by other important things. So weekly or every 4th day or something will have to change. This will allow me more flexibility and maybe bring more content into the blog instead of quick clips and such.

What do you think?

I am listening to Weird Al's new album.. Funny as all get out. Unfortunately listening to it is only half the fun. Flight f the Valkyries is playing now to introduce it.. which in itself is funny. I will have to purchase this one for sure.

A good morning. Very interesting content. From my view, we are working at doing what we are supposed to do within the rules an guidelines. Sitting all the time really sucks though. Chairs are fine. I just cant sit that long without my back screaming its head off. Which it is. I must look like I am fidgiting.

Last night since it was quiet and I got my paperwork done for work with time to spare.. another 2 hours plus of work.... I ate dinner while working on it. I ran a few more shots from Seattle. Still digging through them. There are so many that which to work with first is a hard decision. Check em out.

Two that I have to finish. I love clocks and this one was big

Transit. Classy and uiet.

Two that are going to a bit of work.... but worth it. Glass fields.

Rippling waves.

The last one was so very needing of attention. I took so many pictures from every direction because I didn't know exactly what I could capture and didn't want to miss any angle or view. I still may have.

Links for the day...

You can sit again!  I wished you could deduct from these nuts a percentage of their pay.. and have it deposited into your account when they go back on what the opine.

You will tell me this isn't some strange fantasy, because at this moment it looks like a major opera is playing wind instruments out their proverbial butts!"

Quantification

I hate being quantified. Or pigeon holed. I had the estimable chance to be quantified via myers briggs. It was illuminating. As it is only a general peek hole it was not too bad. It was a laugh how some of the foibles came out.

For some reason it shows me as an extrovert with introvert tendencies. It also went on to generally say that I am forced by my nature to know everything about everything. I need to know about people if they are someone I like or want to know I will do everything to know everything... Not too far off. It also said a lot of other things....

One was refusal to accept certain people or run far away from them. The classmates that had this same parameter as I did ( two others out of 20 ), were of a mind that its how those people act and control themselves. Most had stories that seemed to me to be similar. Mostly its noise and drama. The test said we don't waste time with that type of person and look for more interesting people... or something like that.

The other parameter test said that I like thinking space. I hate distraction and will remove myself from it. That's me! There were other things but it was all about ability's to work with diverse people and also much on having conversations that are full of real meaning. Does that mean I cant do small talk?

Bother!

Some more shots from Seattle... These are edits of signs I found singular.

All of the signs were shot at and angle and corrected. They were fun. Cant wait till I have time to edit it.

"Know you?" as a mumble that is still responded to quickly enough that I wonder if the words are being pulled off my brain before my lungs can push air up to create sound in my throat..... hmmmmm....
"Yes, quite. We have known each other for years and years. Or, if you like, long enough to get tired of each other. Surprisingly we have gone years not talking. This "episode" right now has lasted  forty years by side real time and you have said nothing and have been quite rude. how do I take that? Dallied with women, poked people in the eye, become quite the proverbial pirate. Know me!"

Reflective

Day 1 or Management Class. Okay, half of day one. Lunch break and a bagel. Lots of email and phone calls for work. This portion was cool. beside the interesting topic there is a guy in my  course that I knew 22 years ago. Long long time. He still looks great and is now a Boss. LOL. His comment about upper management giving him a small and enclosed office to lead "just in case" was hilarious.

Getting my time schedule adjusted from Seattle is harder. No real sleep last night, just flinging pillows around. Since my eating schedule was shot already not great loss there. It looks like i will have time to do some picture edits here and there. I like that idea. I did some clipping below. Not completely done but just the first steps.

Two from the back

I have found that when you fly Southwest ( Proviso 1, check a bag ) about the best place to sit ( Proviso 2, are not an A pass holder ( Proviso 3, didn't pay an extra 40 dollars for the chance ) and are in the "B" pass section is about the second or third row from the back window ( Proviso 4, you have a strong bladder ).

Aside from the tenuous wait to board and that those that paid the extra cash for a seat in the very front, or at the emergency rows are going to board ahead of you... well ... I have found that that seat.. on the starboard or port side are great for just twisting your body and resting your head against the inside bulk head. You get a bit of the front of the arm rest, You are not rubbing shoulders nor knees. Oh.. I forgot a proviso. Proviso 5, you have everything out of your carry on bag and have placed that bag in the overhead container. Legs stretched and ankles crossed, sound canx headphones on and music player in hand, you can fall into a snooze just fine. My back sucks and this is a good position for me. You can bring your legs up and flex them and you can bring your arms forward to flex them. I'm a pretty big guy and I had no problems.

PS. By the time all the noodle heads have banged into each other trying to de plane you can saunter off and get to the baggage carousel just in time to pick up your luggage. On flights over three hours though i would get up and do some flexing in the isle or potty at least every two to three hours. If I could get where I wanted to go by train in the same time I would take a train. Or Drive. Since neither one was possible ... well....

Some unedited shots from the top of the bag of Seattle, Land of missed friends and strange connections. Love the transit system!

2.75 gets you downtown, all the way from Sea-Tac. Lovely

Novel and nifty stations. The Beacon Hill station has led boards in the tunnel that display "things".

The Seattle Space Needle.....oops... wrong one....

The fish flinging market. Local of the first Starbucks ( to the right a bit ) and basically a stacked hodge podege of every boardwalk you have ever been on. Wish I had more time.

Touch of the top of my shots. Nothing of the cream. Whisker City baby,

Links were in one place... or at least these I ran across first were very interesting....

These little things might just do for a nice day commuter..... If I could find a safe way to get to work from the house on one without becoming part of the road side shrubbery.

http://deals.kinja.com/put-yourself-on-an-electric-bike-today-for-500-off-to-1607961405/+shaneroberts

At this point the RIAA and record?! companies are all just bullies trying to squeeze the last drops from anyone they can get hold of. They are old, dead and time to be put out at the roadside for trash day pickup. Everything is digital except some cool retro vinyl people.

I will touch on one thing here... Stop giving money to panhandlers. Give it to your favorite association that then gives it out to the real needy ( at least 80 % ). It get to the real people in need, families and those that could use more than a buck, perhaps mental or physical health help. I saw a pan handler in downtown Seattle ( not picking on Seattle ) that had better shoes and, help, looked like a YUPPIE! Still trying to get money. I have seen the same thing in Albuquerque too. Please do everyone of our homeless a favor and go through a group that is trustworthy. Take a little time and research it.

PS to this. If you are able bodied but homeless you should expect to do "something" for the assistance. I have no problem with a tax for the poor and I do practice what I preach ( 95% of the time ).

http://gizmodo.com/anti-homeless-laws-and-hiddencash-whats-ruining-our-c-1606648025

Rest stops.... I ahve a very good idea... I just need to get on those grants things.... time will come when I ahve the time to sit down and do that. Till then... rest stops... Some are fantastic.. some are trashed.... Few have bathrooms you would dare to get near to use.... I know some and I am NOT TELLING1!!

And that is that!

Stepping forward again... one foot ahead of the other.. like a child knowing he is going to get a belt across the backside or a shot in a doctors office... delay and maybe, maybe they will forget you are there. Another step. John.. i call him John too.... John, slight smile on his face... you know the smile... kind, caring, and sure that you are nuts... play along till the white jacket comes out... yep.. you know the type.. with the long arms and those so in fashion leather straps..... baby you are so in vogue!

Down and Dirty.

I thought that when I got home I could dump everything and decompress. No. I keep thinking I should have stayed and helped more. Its just more, different stuff. Not that I am complaining about anything. I am not.

The trip to Seattle was for work. Not pleasure. I did learn quite a lot and what I learned is troubling but in a odd way. The short, quick trips downtown were in the nature of how myself and a good friend of mine usually shoot when out and about. Fast, Quick, Many, Move. It should have a better acronym darn-it. We learned how to do five minute exposure times. That’s, shoot as fast, as many and as differently as possible and keep moving. So when you are looking at anything of mine but ballooning shots they are 5 minute exposures. I had a finite time to try and capture as much as possible and did it. The only place I took time was at the space needle in Seattle. I had to wait for the sunset. Conditions were not optimum. There was moisture in the air and haze from dust and clouds on the sunset side. I will be going back.. and I will take more time.

Along with the 5 minute exposure there was a lot of depression going on and frustration on how useless I was at a time I wish there were more things I could do. I didn't have time to sample beer ( not that I would, probably cider? , food, or gum… ugh ( ref Gum Ally Seattle ) . I did sit ( mainly because running up and down the hilly roads of Seattle was completely 180 degree from my natural state) and people watch for a bit the last time I went down. Seattle is a city of conflicting / controlled mixture. It is worth spending some time in. I even had a good friend in town and that totally skipped my addled mind.. I feel bad about that.  Below are more shots I took with my phone camera. This is because I have not had the time to work or even really sort through the main camera shots. That's how it goes.

Izzy contemplating tripping me on the way to the snacks so she can get more at once.

Southwests numbering system. Wow.. no matter how fast I log in a cant get above B10 for the line in. I wonder why.

The Blue Blaze. From Albuquerque to Denver to Seattle. Same plane, Same seat in the back by the window.

Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Park..minus the tents, balloons, people, Love the view.

Clouds were very interesting. I even took video of

On the way in to Denver I was watching a shadow. It was another flight off to our Right. We beat it to landing by a few seconds! FTW.

Fly the friendlier skies. I have heard Southwest is talking about expanding overseas.. interesting.

Back in the air again and more clouds and shadows of clouds.

Basic shots but I really like how the wing sits just so in the shot.

Trippy… says it all…

Seattle driving looked much better than this. Lots of close calls and one goober kicking a soccer ball off busses as they drove by.. it got flattened quickly…

Signmakers of old used to do this quite well…

The total truth!

Off I go to wash more clothes.

Black pants with a perfect crease, white shirt, crisp, dark grey vest, black coat with short tails, white gloves, small smile, fading greyish white hair and comfortable in those clothes. Oh.. his shoes or short boots and terribly shiny, unlike mine which are kind of beat up and battered looking. Smoothing my hands down my front and drawing the body up under my far forward head, aligning everything I own onto a more comfortable vertical area… I am mumbling to myself.. “Um, Hi? I squeak.”

Crowded airports, people, children.

Sitting here in the Sea-Tac airport waiting four hours for my flight back to Albuquerque .......

One thing never changes. People with children trying to distract the. Children trying to get away from said parental units and attack the other people. There are also people who sit quietly and in the middle of the insanity of noise and physical motion without lashing out or hiding in a corner. The power kiosk is standing room only and I expect that it will never be but three people deep.

Whoops, plane delay for one group..all standing up in line, now they are being told to go to a different gate...hahahha...nope. Change that...people everywhere...going in different directions. Most laughing, one kid being a pain. Yesterday I people watched in Seattle.... Maybe tomorrow I will talk about that. Here.....the announcer is now... Now moving them to another gate. People....are moving away from me..yay..sardine city.

Only 3 more hours till I get to go...due to a delay on my flight...sigh

Made it home!! Woooo.. crazy... Here are some pictures.... More when I find the time....

Leaving Albuquerque on Sunday.

Off the edge of the Seattle Space Needle.

On the way out past Mt Rainier.. Lovely
Coming back our pilot was having a hell of a good time. We did a few rolls to line up.

All these shots were with my phone camera.. I have about 3500 shots of Seattle and surrounds. Yes, I was up there for work. Yes it was very illuminating. I am numb now.

If you stand there this will take much much longer than the last time and will almost be sure to have you hungry before we get down to the brass tacks of this situation… Please?” Well if he says please and being a gentleman… well… On his honor…. One step forward….two steps forward as I scan the area off to the right…slowly, peering around the edge of tiles, gleaming and clean as if they were installed yesterday. “John”, is in fact a sixtyish butler liveried ..well.. gentlemen.

Life Catchin up

I think my legs have not seen this much walking nor this many stairs or this many trips in ... freakin forever. Normally I am from  ( and this sounds sooo bad ) house to truck, truck to work, work to truck and truck to house. in the past four days I have waled my legs two inches shorter.Oh, I am sure it did me good, and I am positive I removed a massive amount of water from my system too. I did keep my water intake up. Not great but not into the dehydration section. Close.

I took another 900 pictures today. I didn't expect to. I thought it was going to be a quick jaunt to visit a Starbucks, see another Ferris wheel and come back. Nope. I ended up traipsing over a 10 block area. I think my sweat was sweating. Ill explain tomorrow. it was interesting to say the least. it was mind numbing because I needed that too. Diverse is all I can say right now. My shots will have to wait till tomorrow too. I was going to do some edits of yesterdays shots but I have run up against time to do justice to them even as dinky a they are. Here are some funny things I found on the net.. followed by some net links.

Tomorrow.... surprises and insights...... No ... really.

It sounds like… who is John Guilgood? British actor pops into my head… “ It is quite safe for you to come into the station sir.” Sure it is…. “It really is.” Oh mind bedamned reading again! John.. Ill call the voice John until further evidence… John warmly, I can hear the smile on his face, as he states clearly now coming from the right about two white tile pillars away now… “ It’s easy to know what you are going to say when you have said it before.” REALLY! Really?

Stuffing it.

Money money money..it's so funny...it's a rich mans world.
Today's class... Money..taxes, rules, judgements....I though my brain had left me earlier...now my spinal cord left too. Just when you think you have it down they throw a spanner in the works to fling things about. Crazy.

Between the constant buzz buzz which puts me on edge and the building of babbling noise at times in between puts me completely on edge. In the morning I had to do some office work, phone calls and such. After class I will have to dive back into office work again. It's not a biggie to me. What I signed on for. That and the after lunch blood loss is making it harder to focus on the words in the guide.

Last nights taking a subject and slapping another thing to it then base lining it was neat. Different. So taking pretty boring shots and getting them interesting was better than they never seeing the light of day.

What trouble can I get into this evening...

Snarkey

Every which way I can see is nicely comforting in its uniformity and standard tube station design. Looking down even shows the gap between the elevator and surface of the station. Metal threshold of the elevator with little lines, I assume for their slip stopping potential and the clean and non-scuffed lip of the open area in front of me. From the right of me and in the Forrest of pillars the calm voice of a cultured man floats forward.. some how….

Limited range

Today's class was hard to get through.. Only due to rambling and length to get to the answer and then indecision on that. Very nebulous some of these things.. Also due to back, leg, arm, shoulder, eye socket pain I cant sit still or find a comfortable position.. I did get my photos from yesterday processed. Took all day really. They finished at 4pm. Then I had to go back to work.. so...... Today I think I am going to sit and rest and not push anything.

My poor eyes are bed enough I done want to fool with the small display and font on my surface. It's okay but from time to time it gets daunting....... Just tired. Really tempted to rest today. Nothing but work and then asking for more information. Woot.. Hoot.. argh Laddies tie off the main sail and pass out the grog.\|!

More indie cisions on those shots I posted yesterday. I'm still thinking about it. Then it came to me that since everyone has to bs Photoshop the moon as huge in the k that I should take some shots and abuse them the same way but not out and out try to pull the wool.. so we have abstracts instead... fun.

Yeah..really

If I only had the time

Sneaky!!

Special isn't it. I have many things in my head. None of them are brain cells. Lots of paperclips, Rabbit hair, two tokens for the tube and a wad of tissue.

None of the above.. Just a view of a standard underground train station.. white tile, gray paver tiled floors,  pillars also encased in white tiles with Nile green tiles at connection of the roof and floor. No trash, not trash bins, and I cant see a rail edge from where I can lean forward and see from. Forward a step ever so quietly, hands reaching out for the edges of the doorway. Slowly, turtle like forward movement and… no, still no rail, only more brightly lit pillars and clean area.

Was it worth it?

The most outrageous thing I heard today.... can ya guess what it is?

Some woman.. ( nothing against most women... as I like them.. one... just fine... lots of friends )  as she  was standing on the side of a street I was crossing shouting into her phone... " I am right ext to the curb, you cant miss me, I'm wearing a white dress and I am gorgeous!!" P...lll...ease!!!! She was wearing an ivory lace dress that was about three inches above her rather funny looking knees and swinging her arm ( not the one she was holding the phone with ) almost smacking the guy who was trying to be with her but not BE WITH HER... I mean she had confidence up the wazoo... I thought she was just one of the nuts who I had seen today yelling and screaming at walls, doors, their subway super sized cup... Rather interesting....

Class today was a bunch of situations where you are supposed to decide weather the people or entities were, are or were not in trouble for how they handed things.... Again... Interesting... made all the more so by my table mates who were hilarious. i could not have picked a better table to sit at half an hour earlier than class started today. whew... Tomorrow ... more.... insane things that the govt does.... Well they think its quite sane.

I had some shots I wanted to post without editing.. and then I will edit and I hopefully will add what I did. I hope.

I wonder what can be done to spice these up.

Smoothly the semi mirrored side duck into their slots and what is it I see… Oh… come on! A tube station!?!? A tube station! Who the hell is the continuity person on this film set? Cut, Cut.. stop, Where is the script? Who has my chair and Champagne? Who is going to make me buy what now! Doors arnt closing.. that’s different, standing there arms slightly out to my sides and knees still flexed. Jumping monkeys… Moose? Air horns!
