Warm weather.

Youch.... Stomach has registered drink and juice and has no idea what to do with them! Growl!! Easing my poor abused rear section into the very nicely stuffed chair in front or a well stoked fire and hot fresh food... I could stay here forever...... Delicious eggs. The egg cups look to be porcelain and tilling it over without losing the dead shell has a marking for 1842 in blue and a makers stamp I cant make out. 1842...huh.. looks like new. Dabbing up the remaining yoke in the other egg and satisfying my baser nature by dolloping on the jam onto slightly browned toast.. ahhh..... There isn't so grand a feeling as a full stomach. I could almost pass out with all the blood my stomach is using to process the broken fast. No.. not falling asloop... aslee........

Day Fri! Done! I always want to start sentences with... "It was a dark and stormy night" But since it was a morning Ill start it with... It was a cool dawn with pink and baby blue clouds on a darkened sky. Slight rays developed as I ran the Ram up in gears and towards I 40 and certain traffic. Thus is the life of a West Siiieeedder! Cross the Rio Grande and Cross again on the way home. Only two instances of Numbness above the neck. One on merging into I 25 southbound traffic was a loon who wanted to be where I was but he wouldn't slow down and kept trying to get ahead of me instead of behind me as I merged into his lane. Weird. The other was an out of towner who didn't know you can turn Right on a red light if no traffic is coming. Sigh. Got some more shopping done. more to do. Did get some stuff set up but ended up chasing a voice over IP phone problem.. I fixed it too! So home an hour late. Oh well.

I am going to put up a few more shots from Vaughn that I really liked. This was not my first visit here nor hopefully my last. I just went into the shooting match with an idea to capture what was illusive before. It helped that the sun was lower in the sky and not bleaching out everything. Even now I can see things I had wished I had framed better. I really hate cropping post shot. I would rather sit there and try to get what I thought was worth the time and not crop just tone than be cropping everywhere. Cropping is fine when your trying for a specific effect but overall its better to frame when you shoot.

Hostelry.
Great frame on this one. Shot number 30 on this.

Hauntingly.
 Doorways always catch my eye.

Harder.
Need to go back in and clean this one up.

Ghostly Moon.
 Full shot of the moon.

13V186 1/2
 Love the 1/2

Glowing.
Another door I dare you to go through.

The Right Place.
At the right time. Wonderful.

Now that I have stood in the weds behind that fence and smiled because the sun was just right and very warm....

Links!

My thoughts first. Yes.. but it wont be we... It will be those in power and control of the banks who will destroy us in their greed. Its always like this. The powerful think they have the right to everything on the backs of the people and destroy in their slimy scum sucking reality.

Woah!!!!

Delving into the dual world shots.

Im all for relaxation... The more the better the toasty the nicer....

I really like Japanese soaking tubs.. but you would never get me out!

Slip The Light Fantastic.

Peering around the corner of the bedstead towards the aforementioned “breakfast cart” and waiting for it to go boom or let off some sort of noxious gas or spring loaded knives….. Nothing…. Its proximity set… or coded… hmm. Pulling a shoe off and tossing it onto the bottom shelf of the cart creates no anomaly other than I have a cold foot. Okay… overreaction… totally acceptable after all this. Getting up and walking over to the cart and sniffing seems a better use of my time… I smell… Eggs, bacon, toast, defiantly strawberry jam and something else. Gently lifting the silver cover off the table hoping I would get to eat something before the explosion… no explosion but I can see… all the above mentioned items as well as a small steak and bangers! Oh nice. Under the other squares cover is coffee, orange juice.. quick taste test… yep, orange juice with pulp, nice and rich. Sugar and cream or milk… Every thing looks and smells delightful. A little coffee poured with sugar and cream… sipping.. no dead.. no cramps…. Just a huge roar from my stomach!!!!!

And this Tuesday slides by. Spent the morning helping set up a tornado simulator. Darned humidifier stopped working. Had to get another one. That worked fine. Back to the office and phone calls and emails. Nice help from my friend to the south. The ASA or Administrative Support Assistant in El Paso is one of the nicest people I've known. There are so many pitfalls in the paperwork side of this work that you step into things because you didn't see them and then get in trouble for not knowing it even though the is no map telling you that there was a hole there. So its down to everyone tries to help everyone else out. Not fun. I worked on a phone problem also today… So today was… Outreach, emails, phone calls, purchase plans, requests, property, equipment receiving, phone system troubleshooting, and more travel paperwork. I'm not complaining at all. Not at all at all.

I went into the files and pulled up my shots from Vaughn and Encino NM. I toned or HDR processed some of the more interesting ones. I have to go back and do more as there are many more that will look good with the treatment. Below are some of my favorites. I will probably go and edit some more after to pull in special things I like. Still mulling the D7100. Here they are…..

Green Grocer.
It just came to me. HAH! I played with this file for quite a while. Now onto the tones....

Coverup Drugs
Until the building fell down beside this sign it had been hidden for a while.

First In Line.
The sun was just in the right place to enter the shot. Might be waiting a while.

Notions.
I have taken this shot before but I think this is the best one.

Cold Drinks & Ice Cream.
 Somber reminder of happier days.

Posted in Nowhere.

Some of the times I can get very melancholy doing these. I love it but I am always reminded of the people who left and the businesses that closed... opportunities gone.... The probably just moved to the other side of town or to greener pastures....

Links of mystery…

A very nice idea… I like it a lot…

The second story I came across about the dangers of lazing parts of your home

Wow… that much be a nasty job…… think, really bad poses of unedited people… with no clothes on… Yuckie.

If you think what I write is fantasy.. hah…. I think you should read this….

I want to say that we sit on a nexus of probabilities and that the divisions between here, now, then, future and past are thinner than we think. Don't slip. Along this though comes one. Read Douglas Adams The Long Dark Tea Time Of The Soul.. you might understand what I mean. Douglas writes so very well.

Sleep on that one.

Snore!

Who comes tap tap tapping at my door? Lady, Man, moose or mouse? Slipping my hands down the front of my overcoat, smoothing and patting to make sure the book is still there…. “Come in” I said expecting just about anything at this moment. A key rattles in the lock and the door opens slowly showing a small St of fingers around the edge as its opened by the rear end of a maid or some sort. “Pardon me Sir. I was following instructions left last night to bring breakfast up to you”. Well gee, now someone is setting up service for me. Wish I had some of that sleep that is supposed to go before the morning. She wheels the heavily laden cart in beside the chairs and looks up at me. Now here I am expecting to see my friendly boomer girl but no.. A petite red headed girl of… wow. Probably fourteen.. freckles like down on the farm and smiling gently like  she isn't sure if I am okay in the head. “Thank You very much” I mumbled. “I appreciate your promptness”. She does this little curtsy and says “ if there is anything else you need please ring the bell”. Slightly bowing, I tell her I will do just that. Click goes the door…. And I leap backwards and down on the floor!

A braww day today, Braw!! Lickeity split it was gone plus an hour. I expect I could have stayed there another hour or two but it can wait till tomorrow and I was tired and my butt hurt from sitting. I did do a lot of leaps to conclusions though. I am very happy with what did go on today. Lots I expected, some I didn't, A few I wish were easier to deal with but can understand the situation. I'd rather not push a thing or two but…. Well…… Tomorrow.. well… hopefully I can continue to do what needs done so everything isn't piling up at the last minute.. Oh yeah.. We have to take our tornado simulator over to the balloon museum in the morning to prepare for a learning segment there. That will be different. Maybe get some coffee on the return trip. That would be very special.

On the picture scene I ran aground last night.. too tired to edit anything so your going to have to wait for what I think is worth troubling you with. I did read another review on the Nikon d7100. This one said that aside from a little green tinge which was easy to remove in camera that quality of picture was excellent. Yesterday I read that it was not. Since I know the second person and don't the first I will think some more on it and decide. I would like to if I were to by this body be allowed to return it if it is not p to standards. I have to call around about that. Something to do.. some test shots to look at.. all good for the heart and soul. I had my taped to my back but the darn thing keeps wandering away.

Here you go……. The bother.

Four colors of the seasons.
 Or just pretty.

ZK Overhead.
 Sliding through the sky.

El Flam Du Bob.
 Wicked burn.

Crown glow.
 Lindstrand Love.

TAB shadowed.
 Still going strong.

PITA out for a glide.
Blues Reds Yellows n Greens!

That was good. Love how extreme the colors are when you subdue to background.

Here are the mildly interesting things on the nets.

The photograph should never be about the person behind the camera.

Always a good idea and wonderful. Cant wait to visit it.

Dreams.... are never about what you dream about....hmm.. I have had some vivid dreams after getting off sleeping pills. Strange ones too.

Aliens!!

Go dream a few dreams for me...... ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZzzzzz

No Drunk Texting.

Ringing, vibrating, jangling, and just like that the black bars sweep from the center of my vision away to left and right. Colors shift from the edges and the scene unfolds before me like an open book of pop up pictures. Well this is better than rain or tube stations or funky library's. I find myself standing in the middle of a red carpet. You know.. the type with the spirals and loops and curly ques around the border. To the left are two chairs close to a nice fireplace of rippling greens and soft ivory's. Flickering in a gentle fire of small logs.. started, probably an hour ago by the looks of how much the wood has burned. Off to my right is a queen sized four poster bed deep with blankets and eiderdowns. The walls are a blue and white striped wallpaper and there are dark wood moldings at ceiling and around doors and twisting around two windows covered in thick murky blue gray curtains. Nice place. Pretty upscale. I wonder who this belongs to? No sign of the teeth. Reaching up to my earlobe to see if its still intact... whew.. just a little sore. There is a tap tap tap at the door.....

Foofy! Not a bad day all around. Lots of info passing along and things getting done as well. I broke my day up into four sections. Even with chats and conversations and briefings and such I accomplished what I wanted. It took me longer than I thought to work out the voip thing but the system is so convoluted and weird I had to figure out what I wanted to do and what the system would do and try to make them meet in the middle. It did, somewhat. I have to test it out tonight. I also got the word that our property was settled..I like that. Also I was able to get my lists done and put in the right order. Tomorrow, more of the same plus another conference and hopefully more action. I want it done so I can move onto other things. All good though.

I spent some time last night working on some panos to see if the program would work. The pano did work and it was a nice stitch. Too bad the air was heat rippling and it messed up the focus. Oh well, I will try again when its nicer. There was a little smog but really not that much. No inversion as far as I could see. I did some other things but nothing as fun... Oh.. yeah.. after reading up on the Nikon D7100 it turns out that its too soft. Unless you buy some very expensive glass you cant get a sharp enough shot. Sucks! Now what? I want everything that's in my D300 plus I want 24 meg pix. I do not want to pay 3000 dollars for that change though. did I say it sucks? I read many many reviews too. Ah well... here are the shots..

3 shot pano down Central ( existing old route 66 towards Albuquerque

North                                                                                                                                                 South
12 pano.

 9 pano
They are nice but not good enough to enlarge.

I am working on a new pin set. I want them to be designed in the Deco way. This includes line weights like this lily below.

And in this shot from the net you can see how the main subject and some of the back design is a heavier weight line. Hard to do on a 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 inch pin.
 But its so excellent.

And because I was surfing the net like normal... I found this, which is funny.

Now to links then I have to move some pictures as I cannot get to friends who requested pictures. My bad.

In communism everywhere...everyone is equal but the leaders are more equal... and have all the things.

Tick Tick Tick.

Though I like a good cider this beer slides down my throat well. I guess I haven't had anything to eat in a while... head is swimming a bit. Looking back up she is still there... eyes connect and a thrum can be felt. Deep, resonate and only affecting the two of us as the sparkling flush and widening eyes of this dark haired woman seems to mirror my own. I try projecting "can you hear my thoughts!" Her left eyebrow goes up. Okay, guess she cant. Or she is very good at not letting on.... I want her to come closer and I don't. Slumping back down on my stool and turning back to my almost gone beer and try to will her away. Sigh.. No such luck. I can feel her.. feel her right behind me. The tiny hairs along my neck ripple under her warm breath as she leans closer, not moving as her weight leans slightly on my back, she touches my ear with those soft pale lips, whispers, "here is the other side" and tucks the ripped page into my pocket, her hand a lingering pressure on my side sends shocking tingles up my spine. Looking into the mirror and meeting her eyes, blue, colors go black and white, from the edge of my view the walls of black are swinging towards me, she bites my ear and Boom!

From start to finish 10 hours later is was go go go! Not bad. Quickest day I have had in forever. I could have worked another two more hours to get what I wanted to get done done. But, there is a time to just stop and start fresh in the morning. Mulling over purchases, thinking about phone systems, choosing the best attributes of the things we are looking at. Not bad. Plus today I was able to give my friends their Christmas Presents. It took three times to get them right but they all got nice bug mugs with all of us as "Do All The Things" Worm Meme. Plus the NWS logo and Abq and a bunch of other funny stuff. It was fun but a pain in the butt getting it right.

I also spent some time this evening looking at cameras. I really would like to go to a 24 meg pix cam but the option suck! Either your giving up one feature for another or getting something you will never use for something that isn't as good. Yeesh! It suckith! I fiddled with the settings from PS to Gimp. Down below you will see...

Chi Dog 1. Tan.

Chi Dog 2. Gray.

Chi Dog 3, Lilac.

Chi Dog 4. Salmon.
They were fun. I would edit the border down so that the picture is bigger.

Skateboarding sign with a Reddish background and tannish stipple.
 Because I can!

Spin it!

Heal Me!
 Healed and toned.

405 Lounge
This would be displayed on the right bottom point. Neat huh!

Lots of fussing around with it.

Now to the links so I can go play with other things.... Something about staying off the streets...  I can get into so much trouble within four walls. Wink.

Okay I would never have thought of this but year... that and perhaps more!! New age infections!!!

Noisy.

What do I have here.. a book of ciphers. Every page a different code. I think there are even.. HAH! yep, punch tape and also an Elizabethan cipher. Lots and lots of different codes. Why a book of codes and why are there three pages in the front blank. Shotgun memory. How is this put in the book. Some look like typing, some written, some are...almost looks like a ..... faxing machine. Smooth so imprinted into the page. There even are blue lines and red indenting lines on some. Scratching my fingernail backwards down the page.. smooth as buttah. Picking up the warm beer and looking forward into the mirror I can just see a shape I recognize. Sipping and not turning my head. Am I happy to see its pretty lithe body and that face....showing worry but still with that flush in her cheeks.... Or is this a moment before the boom? Sip more beer faster....

A quiet day spend doing hose chores and filling the pond so the fish don't bang on the door and complain. Decided that I am going to go stand up on the escarpment at 9 mile hill tomorrow after work and shoot the pano of the valley. Its the only place you can get the city in the right place and the sun should be over my right shoulder. We shall see... I think I am going to do a four and four shot group. Four over and four under, then do some six shots and perhaps something else. Going to stay inside and do a few other things. Work on my pins ideas. Yeah.

Below are some of the shots I edited. Sitting here looking at them I really think its time to get  camera with a higher Mpix level. I am not going to blow 3 thou on the possible replacement which is ridiculous.. but there is one that might work. I wished I could try it before I buy it but that would cash and take that money away from getting the body. I am looking at the d7100. Mainly its a DX and so I would not have to buy lenses and it has 24 mpix.. twice mine and supposedly is sharper and faster to focus. I can recoup the money by selling my two d300 bodies. Its possible. Thoughts thoughts... drive me batty. Oh well, Here they are.. Ill explain as I go...

DISTILLERY
Blended for the fun of it. Just seeing what can be done to take a boring shot and make it wake up.

Court Corner.
9 shot pano. Focus was not what it should have been. I think I should have selected infinity and then shot it.

El Ray
I love this angle. From the ground. I need to get out the fish eye to get a better shot, lower.

Stops. Spots
Uncleaned shot. Little dust specks will drive you bananas.

KIMO
Perfect fit. Took four or five of this to get it right.

Towers.
Again. The angle. gotta get lower if it possible.

I have much in this file and lots to mess with still.

Some of the more odd things.

A very old instrument playing a very ... well not new but newer song. Listening to the thing play a normal song and its understandable.

http://gizmodo.com/this-centuries-old-musical-instrument-sounds-exactly-li-1528555155

Fakes.. even if you pull it off its still a fake. Yes I do play around but not to pass it off as real.

Good Ship Lollypop

Wandering up to the open doorway, dodging to the side as a few.....fish mongers..by the smell of them weave out as I step into the warm and smoke filled room. Longer than wider with a full length bar and about eight tables around. I spot a clear area at the right end of the bar. Stepping around the tables and finding the spot and stool are still open is a happy thing. Resting my poor sore tail on the padding, Ahhhhh.... nice. A pint of beer hits the counter in front of me! Looking up at the barmaid with her white blouse, sleeves rolled up, black ankle length dress and stained apron, she tells me to drink up. Oooookay, Pointing at the beer I ask her nicely, "Free Beer"? That's right she drawls, Gent over in the corner came into some of Peters Honey so everyone gets two beers. "Drink up and be happy your out of the fog laddie". So I sipped some cool and surprisingly full beer while wondering why a cockney is on this side of the river. What the hell's a cockney? What is Peters Honey? Ohhh.... Money. Dropping the book on the bar beside my glass I start flipping through the pages. Page four torn... undecipherable sets of 5 letters... page seven... dots and dashes.... Weirder and weirder... Sip...

Managing a spiking headache all day is never a fun thing. Part water and part sinus I think. That and the level of agitation I feel is very hard to not scream at the walls. Feeling a slight bit better I thought it was time to write my blog before I fall out of my chair. That was most of the day. Pain and trying to keep quite things going into my ear. Tough run. What editing I did today was when I could and its kind of shotgunned. I tried using PS for polar edits but its more difficult to do it than in Gimp. Probably because I know where the key sets are in it and I am still wandering around PS. I probably have to make a cheat sheet up of the things I need to do what I do. So here are some pictures from today. Some mine some off the nets.

This shot was very striking for me. Here is a man who is a priest and out in the middle of the turmoil in Ukraine. He seems serious and I feel like I need to either get in front of him and protect him or get behind him for safety. Do not rile the people or they will rise up and rip you from your cushy seat and as the French did.. lop off your head.

On a lighter note. Here is one of Elvis's jets. It was bought from the estate, landed here and left to rot. The person who owns it isn't interested in it at all. Its way out on the backside of the airport so even with a 200mm lens that's the best shot available.

Eric's envelope bag label. Just a quick edit.

Seven picture pano. Put together with PS. Downtown Albuquerque.

Another try with the El Ray sign. Interesting.

405 lounge sign.
First try with this. I think I will go back on it again.

Out shooting in an old part of town you have to keep aware of your surroundings. This mean vile pack of dogs were all over us. There were more of them you cant see.

Shirley Temple died just a bit ago. No word from the govt and she was an Ambassador. Sad that..

Stay quiet night.....

Detroit.. Killed off by Union greed and left like a dead animal to be stripped. I have heard they are going to use the land as farms and reinvent the place. I wish them luck. I also hope they get money back from all of those greedy people who sucked the money and life out of the area and then ran away. Damn blood sucking vermin.

Most awesome motorcycles. Wow..

Another situation that became a travisty.. Not unlike New Orleans and Katrina. Scum take the money, screw everyone else.. run for the hills and leave the poor to die... Yeah.. same same... History repeats.

Choices choices in the last link.... Well Ill put this here and there are already two sad and bureaucrat and rich slime stories already.

How possible is it to do this with the white house and news people and let them stay stuck to the wall where they cant screw things up.

Have fun. Read the internet... Laugh at the drive by media who keep shoveling tapioca into your head....
