Too many things! & Fallout 4

There are way too many things to try and keep track of nowadays. Too many email accts too many google accounts too many things. Is it time to purge? Might be. Might be time to erase everything and start again. One of the good things about the nets, links, digital cycle... you can dump stuff. Not that it will go away anytime but it will lead to dead links if anything. Its a thought. A very good thought.

Since the morning was open and it wasnt too too hot outside yet I decided it was a good time to break down the balloon system and give it a good cleaning. Plus the bolster was looking a little faded. So out came the basket, out came the tanks, out came the burner and the uprights too.

Out the floor pad and all the extras stuff too. Taking the hose and washing all the dirt and twigs out of the edges behind the bottom kick leather is hard. It loves to get behind it and hide. Lost of dirt. That has to be flushed throught the two 1 inch holes in the bottom and the remainder wiped up with a cloth. All the metal and stuff inside gets wiped but the wicket does not. The wicker needs the water.

Once that was done and the leather was wiped done it was time to pull out the Wheelers bees wax leather conditioner. All the way from Great Britain.  I lay it on thick and then buff it in. Leaving it sit for a bit before buffing it up. Such a wonderful smell. The bottom kick leather and step holes get McGuires leather conditioner. Its a stiffer leather.

I take a few shots for the hell of it. Its looking very nice now. And there are about four possibles from 7 weekends to fly before Fiesta starts again. It creeps up on you and the next thing you know you are waking up at 4am to go fly off a bit of green grass to fight for a place in the sky and maybe in the river before hunting a place to land down. Loads of fun!

Tank covers are wiped down. They get so much rubbing and banging around against the wicker inside. Even the wicker color has rubbed into them. They are no way dirty enough to go in the washer.

Looking through one foot step to the other foot step. I couldn't line it up with my phone camera but I will later. Makes a nice wallpaper for the computer.

Shiney and clean solid wood floor. See the two weep holes. They come on handy if we go too deep during a splash and dash. Lets all that water stream back out. Normally covered in a black inch of high density foam in its own fabric coverlet.  Thats drying in the trailer right now.

So its all in pieces. I have the burners in the house...which I will move to the office and they will get stood up on their poles so I can clean the coils and covers and replace the fuel knobs that were damaged. I have to go buy a lock ring removal tool to take the rings off to get the knobs off.

So its not completely cleaned up but it will be. Ready for another ten day run of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Weeeee.....

Fallout 4. A DLC is due to download next week. How much of it will be worth bothering with I dont know. I have been going back to all my settlements and updating the walls and adding things here and there. Lots of silliness in there still. Lots of work getting things to line up. I am looking at having to deconstruct the Slog totally to get the housing area to line up right. I am not looking forward to it.

Here are a few shots.

Red Rocket Armory and home. I modified it and then put it back to this as it just didn't work. Lots of wasted time there. I am now picking up armor that is just left on the ground now. Just have to buy the damn frames.

Jamaica... Updated to make the people happy and also cover over my generator and water processing.  Nice bar.

Abernathys... It took some heavy thought on how to build a flooring half way up the walls so that it ligned up with the walls as well as the exisiting housing of the tower. Did it and now all the farming is done from clean planter boxes instead of the funky ground.

Greentop Nursery. It took a lot of planning and testing to get this place walled and then going back and updating those walls and the gate area is hard to work with as it slips over the build area. Its nice an intimidating.

Okay.. much to do... so hopefully you liked this and if you want to see more Fallout shots of different places and how I built them up .. drop and email as usual.

History Repeats..Uh Duh! that is all. Fallout 4

Too bad they teach garbage in schools today and parents have been replaced by the state for upbringing and God forbid you try to have a little discipline in your household..and then there is the dumbing down of almost everything. Enough said. Lazy people create the situation we have now.

So...... If I could only find a set of chairs for the living room and maybe a couch or two that are comfortable to sit in. Even my den chairs are showing wear and tear. Whats next... cover sheets?

Its our Sunday Granddaughter time. She is much more in fine control than just a week ago. Working on her crawling and moving though she can move just fine she is still coordination out of sync....lol.. Its getting there. As soon as she is crawling we will be freaking out from her disappearing.. then the toddling... I need to get some gates for the doorways. Some bumpers for the tables though I am thinking to remove all that while she is wandering around. Not going to stop her from bumping into things ..just limit the damage. LOL.. learn learn learn.

Been a rough week with little sleep and tiredness hovering. The weekend was needed to recuperate and that didnt quite work well. Still over tired. Meh. Just meant I didnt have the willpower to get out and take any pictures. So that sucks..

I did process all the videos from the last couple of weeks to pano split. That took forever. You cant walk away too far since you have to watch it go then set the next file to match the file before. When you are changing a 360 degree globe view to splits where the frames sets and picture sits in the frames has to match the next file... yeesh.. So.. while that's going on I just ran around Fallout and updated more settlements.

Here are some pictures... I don't know what yet.. Ill say in the shots.

The fisheye video camera is excellent at catching those amazing shots. Pity there isn't the resolution to do anything with them. Gotta try some things with the main DSLR and fisheye to try and recreate some of these.

Chasing the Puff. Nice effect with my shadow between these.

Up and over. Just change the angle of the lens and it changes the view.. neat stuff.

Well other than trying to hunt down some good shots and stay awake.. well you gets what you gets.

Go away!

Fallout 4 is still going strongish. Its getting a bit ho hum. Still irritated with the dropping of raiders into the middle of a completely fortified location. Walls, gun positions, guards, dogs, robots, and they still just pop in. I am going back to the smallish settlements and rebuilding them with cement walls and taking out the cement foundation blocks. 1/8th the thickness. Below are some shots from all that..

Updated gating at Oberland park Settlement. Damn walls shifted and the base course had to be reset.. Thanks game.

Open secure gating at Kingsport. Except for Hangmans alley they all have an open area for traders to arrive.

Dalton Farm redone. Another place that had to be completely stripped down and rebuilt. Seriously silly how it is impossible to set some things in place and something pop in place with ease. Silly.

Verifying the height I can build to. Some places you have the space and most you cant do a damn thing right.

Scads of water is the place to make money. Way over 90636 now. Tons of water equals tons of supplies. No..I dont cheat with unlimited supplies. I farm for everything. I ran out of copper a bit ago. It sucked.

That's about the fun I have had. Mind has ideas. Time to do stuff linearly is missing. And having to use multiple programs to get anything done. spotty memory on how I did things... ugh!

Lookin like we will be heading to Cali for a wedding soon. Just a couple of days and a long drive out and back through the Mojave... Its something different and something interesting and we are going to enjoy it! I am hoping to get down into LA and get some shots on the street. Gotta let some people know we will be in the area.. Woo hoo.

OKay.. so that's about that... Next weekend I am hoping to get some more air and maybe some more pictures but at least some good flying would be nice.

Have a good week. Friday is right around the corner.

July 10th with a little of the 9th thrown in... FIRST!

Ahh.. I need another day.... Ballooning two days in a row... I am feeling ever year past 22. But it was totally worth it. The saying .. you can sleep when your dead is a functional axiom for balloonists.

A nice edit of the Inside of my balloon cold.

So we started out this weekend going out to the West side of the Albuquerque / Rio Rancho area to fly two new friends. I love the crew who came out..many of them and their kids which was excellent! We had bunches and many hands makes light work... The flying was fantastic. My son flew the two new to ballooning and we had three cameras on him. One 360 degree Kodak and two GoPros...one of which failed right after launch. Go figure. Oh.. and I set the trapeze cam mount up and we got some good video from it. I have yet to edit it into anything so far. ..too busy... so Saturday flying went great.. Sunday was the Monthly AAAA meet, this time on Fiesta field. Lots of balloons.. lots of people. I went out to shoot for the CB and myself and I had a in the middle photo shoot of all the kids who were at balloon camp this week. I tried to not be intrusive but catch them doing balloon stuff... a lot of shots of them going off with their pilot trainers and then a bunch as a group around the Sid Cutter memorial statue... which turned out very nice even though I was shooting into the sun.

Whew!

So I took about 300 shots Saturday but I took over a thousand today. I had to take a lot of shots of the peoples as I didnt know which would be the best and I wanted many to choose from. That really was about 600 from the standard lens and about 400 from the fisheye... of which I have not looked at yet but I feel they are going to be wonderful. My favorite shot today was a quick idea to shoot the eye of a mounted patrol horse and try and capture a balloon in it.. I did.. it was sweet.. Going to have to do some more of that.. oh yes.... So below some shots.

Patturns Highperactive cutting down the arroyo with the wind.

PH baffled. Highperactive has a baffle about half way down the envelope to help keep the hot air up in the top. Its color coded to the balloon by Lindstrand USA. A one of a kind request.

They are having way too good a time up there. See the trapeze cam behind them. It was a bit too low.

A nice landing and now the packing away starts. Brian unhooking the throat from the burner frame. So many free range children around..LOL

All up on the shoulder and into the bag. Nice soft grasses.. if a bit too dry.

Todays favs... just a few of the many.. and many I have yet to clean up.

He didnt mind me getting up close for the shot though he did head butt me a few times just because he needed a scratch. Very nice model horsie.

Bags in Repose. Prepare to be opened!

When that many balloons show up many many people gravitate to the field to watch. These fold stayed on the tarmac even though they could have gone out on the field. They had as good a view as I did.

The HARE!!! Keith L does a fine job of dragging his tail outward bound so the other balloons can chase him. I didnt hear if anyone made it to him as the winds were completely weird again.

Crown line junkies. You can hold it you can U it around your butt but never wrap a rope around a hand, arm or leg, or waist or local unsuspecting person. It never is good.. always bad. They are steadying the envelopes as they are inflating.

Just a few ... I will post more to FB today and more tomorrow as I get into the side shots and more after that of the fisheye shots. Those will be interesting.

Fallout 4... game is glitching a lot with no mods active. Getting frustrating.

Enough of that.

Yes I know someone who is glad of that.

LOLOL

Have a great week. Almost two weeks into July already and August and September are right there waving.
