Sets of shots

I was talking about sets of shots yesterday and how unlike just pushing the shutter button down and collecting the same shot over and over again what I try for is to get subtle differences in angle or view for a best or more symmetric shot... Sometimes it works.. sometimes it's a total waste of time.

What I was trying to do last Sunday was take shots with both the 18 to 200 and the 10.5 fisheye. Very hard. The other hard part is that most of the balloons are going to be between you and the rising sun. Its next to impossible to "just stand on the East side" of the field and take pictures though during Fiesta its a perfect place to be. You will sadly miss almost every good shot that is close up. Well.. unless you want about fifty people in your shot as well. If you get out to the West side of the field you can get some good close ups with minimal people in them.. in the way of your shot.. in front of you lens so that you are really getting them instead of whatever sparked your eye... yeah... its a bugger. Moving around the crowd is paramount. Moving all the time from one inflation to another is worth the aching legs you will have as its a huge place.

You should come! Its well worth the early mornings and if you hang to the West you will miss all the crowds.

Here are some of the sets... Nicely the program I used has a nice little modification that allowed for better processing of overly dark shots...

5 set of KKisses with DebBee in the background and peeking in there 2FastTakach.

Five set of 2FastTakach with KKisses nudging in.

Each a little shifted from the next. It makes it easier to find that right shot and I didn't miss it trying to get one shot just right.

The Nikon 10.5 lens is next to impossible to crop out some things. Even your feet can get into the shot if you aren't very very careful. Its a fantastic lens and wow does it get things interesting. It has a nifty sweet spot in it.

I have more to show but these ten are enough for tonight to show that moving while shooting multiples is well worth the time and the possible twisted back.

Facebook banner for the day and logo... Yay.. Bloom County has returned. It will be very interesting to see how Berk is going to bring back those characters he pitched into the weirdness way back when.

Yay!
