Other than...

After so many days of balloons I thought a bit of a break would be nice... a lot more shots showed up on facebook and they were fantastic. I love that my balloon made so many and that people thought enough to send me a note and a shot. Wonderful! I have a feeling that most of the great photographers were in Angel Fire this last weekend.. and that makes me happy. Pretty cool peoples.

Lets just get a few things right about things.. Heh.. I hate waiting. Especially if there is no reason for the wait. I cant stand sitting around when I have things I want to get done. I think I can say that I am a very poor person in this point. I get frustrated and anxious and cannot settle down. Sorry.. Just walk away unless you can alleviate the problem.. hahahah...

Amazon is a good place for me to purchase from because you can choose how quickly you want something and then you can watch it come to you. I really like them just because of that. Now I would purchase stuff locally.. and I have.. but most times there is no outlet in town for the things I need. I did but a couple of things for the office in town. I had to brave the insanity on the highways and byways but some things are necessary to have right now... Ink for a very important printer fax.. yes.... label maker for tags... need now... I almost walked away without one today but I turned around and there the unit I was looking for was.. not where it should have been but on the next isle over... what that's about I don't know. Then I had to brave the... do you have our store card thing again.. Thats three times in three days.. If I wanted the bloody card I would have asked for one and no.. I can't use it so please just process me and let me get on my way.. I hate waiting.

So the mountain above Angel Fire where the chair lift goes is a very special bit of green. There were some nice locations but you have to shoot fast from the seats and they were moving fast so getting that nicely set shot was impossible and I was not about to try and hike half the hill to get it .. juuuust right.. not happening. No hiking boots.. no water.. no snacks.. NO SHERPAS! So you get what you get... which are still nice.

Aspins edges

I would have really loved this if I could have gotten the aspin there farther left. I could crop it but it was nice.. so ya live with it.

A valley.

 Our launch side was a little farther right but this was the nicest shot you could get from where I could get to. Nice little valley.

Verge.

 I made the word up.. no I didnt. but it means a different thing to me. This ski run is so nice from this point and without the snow. If there had been no open space above it would have been nice even though.

 Mossy lichen? Whatever but cool. Brighter than I like it but unless I tone map it I would lose the nice greens in the shade.

Dont even think about it.. We arnt lookin for ya.

 I watched a largish woman start walking down the trail from the peak to the bottom. I thought maybe she was just going to jaunt around a bit then head back to the chair lift but she had disappeared when I was not looking... After us goofing around on the hill and then going down and getting something to eat before walking back to our condo.. there she was... at the bottom! Paint me very impressed!

Eagles Nest.. its a lake!

Pretty but the air was so full of ... stuff that getting a clear shot was next to impossible. I had to beat this one into submission to get any color and texture out of it. Its right on the edge of useless.

That kept me busy for a bit.

I did recover all that I had thought lost on that drive. It is all on another drive and waiting to be moved to a new drive as soon as it arrives. I have checked it and also moved some of the files so that they are now verifiably backed up. Duals of everything.... right now I am copying over or mirroring another set of files.. 5 hours till its done.... Yeah.... 5 hours! Yeesh. Then it will be check another set and copy more over. I am going to try and do another section of 360 video as section 3 failed last night.

 Massive amount of cross country bikers in town.. It was some sort of competition... I just thought that the ladies there were pretty hard core... All different levels of padding around... Colorful.
