What does that even mean? So... let me first kick out a big cheer to the people who put this program on. It was excellent. We stayed in some very nice condos... Resort Properties of Angel Fire.. who's web address is AngelFireNewMexico.US . Everything there except food. Great Lowes store to get that and a heck of a selection.... I am sitting here thinking of how different it could have been and how sad it could have been and I just fling that out cause it was Awesome.
Now lets talk about how much pain my calf muscles are in. Yes... Ski resort and resort resort town.. Hills.. Wow... ouch! Oh but it was worth it. We even walked about five blocks to a party for the Pilots.... AND back! In the dark! With dangerous deer in the area!!! Pretty cool huh!
THere was a bunch of cross country bike racing and stuff going on too. We went up the lift and hung around the mountain top taking pictures of the guys playing disc golf.... watch a huge crow or raven fly around us... too bad we had to cut it short due to lightning in the area.
I took pictures while flying and sitting on the ground or wandering around the air. The winds were very variable and you could never really tell where you would end up... precisely.. though you could get somewhere.... I also had three cameras going. One 360 and two GoPro. Only lost the back camera take on Sunday. Lots or work to do with all that....
Pictures for tonight are going to be very selective........ Very.. more later...
What are you... looking at?
This guy.. wow.. attitude.
Pilots in the rain.
Not really. It was just a very poopy weather front that was coming in so that we couldn't do a glow. Oh well. Darned fun hanging out watching the wild winds clouds.
Oh! Yes... balloons...
ZK prepped and ready togo with more in front also just wanting to leap up there and go.
HUGS!
Snap shot from the 360 degree camera. We were so close to kiss but it ended up being a hug. THe video is gonna be great!
Round and round.
The little winds kept rotating up around each other. It was novel.
Baffled!?
The Arc. THis is a circular "shelf" of fabric which help should the hot air in the top of the envelope. It was an inspiring shot angle. Almost looks like a mirror.Since I have so many good shots I decided to just touch a bit for today and tomorrow I will post a bunch of great ballooning shots.
Whew!
I have to get some rest. I never mentioned the drive up and back. Both very nice. Up was a bit more fussy as hauling a trailer with a balloon system up is gas intensive. Driving back was better because it was mostly downhill. It got hot though. With a stop on the way and taking it easy we did it in 3 hours and 15 mins. It was nice but now I am completely wiped out.
My facebook banner for the day is...... a shot a good friend saw and I had to get because it was the 103 day till Fiesta.... It just worked...
SIde of a building on the top of the mountain.
And a warning sign nearby... that I added the Angel Fire to.
Off to see if I have any clean clothes to wear tomorrow...
