On the second Monday of January my true love gave to me, A wadded up bunch of papers, A roll of 100's smackolies and a jolting blast out of sight. Count your blessings I suppose.
The statement from Brian in Life of Brian comes to mind. “You're all different”.. ( crowd ) We're all different… No no no…
Was there a third way at that branch? Can you sit down and annotate all the major decision points along your past and see what happened. Its an exercise. Write down your birth. Do it quickly before you forget. Write down when you first decided something. Probably when you were nine or ten. Other than picking out your clothes. What major decision did you make and what.. can your consider… what your life would have been like. After that, consider what else would have happened next. Pick up the pencil. This works better in the shower but your paper gets soggy.
Does your mind shy away? Is it the bad things that happened or the good things that bent you towards a choice? Was there a chance? Or did you take the easiest paths? Even though. You are who you are now, is that causing you to “stay the course” or are you actively trying to order your life and in consideration of what has past do the best you can.
I would like to say that I subscribe to this idea. Some may poo poo it or outright laugh but I try. I didn't say I was successful all the time but I try. My main thought.. Do no harm. In all the pulling and plying and wants and needs and cravings and desires… do no harm.
I read that you should always be cheerful even if you do not feel cheerful because being cheerful makes those around you happier and cheerful too. I am working on that. Its tough.
Sleep is mostly ripsaws of disturbing dreams. Dropped in one strange and fluidly weird decision point to another. Like a test on fuzzy physics where there are only absolutes when applied in very specific and locked down scenario and your are in a jumping castle play area. Try it sometimes if you can. When your dreaming try and do the right thing. Good luck. Do you know what the right thing is. Or is it all shades of gray or do those things mean sticking your hand in a blender all the time.
Pick out the good things and let them affect you. Try. Only good things. Don't forget the bad but consider only those bright points in your life. Laughter, Children, Friendships, Foods, Smells, Love.
Things to think about.
As I rummaged about last night I kept getting drawn to a few pictures in one file. The signs themselves were not the draw but the painting and colors of them. Startling. Also there were bulbs which when singled out became something special. In that one picture I found that even though I could not read the sign it drew me because I could not. Almost as if it were saying… you may not have a full picture but isn't this small portion you can see delightful to look at. I think that is what I want.. a slice of something delightful to look at. Then share it.

I enjoyed the effect of these. What little I did was enough to change they way they feel.
I think I will go round and round and round....
Links.
A good link. I expect the near future will see processors get smaller to the point of wearable powerful computer systems that you can access via your glasses.. Like Google glasses but fully usable with voice commands and tactile keyboards. Say your keyword and then the command. Maybe even subvocalizing. Memory will get real small and stackable. So you can stack multi chips into one mega chip. More insular in our interactions. Less contact. More automatics. Nuff said for now..

Art is where it touches you.
Art is where it touches you.
I like this idea because they are enhancing the natural effects to plants and animals as well as making a nice place to jump in the Thames!
Ah hah! This is what I want for a wrist display. It gives you time and contacts and notifications without all the crapola. Just tell the time, tell me if I have a call, tell me if I have an email or text message... lightweight and cheap and a good battery life.
So much out there and this is touching just a bit.
I am off to look for some cool shots, think about how tigers apologise and do they blush.. and do they pull at their tail hairs?
