This is going to take more than one post and in between it I will post some other stuff but we are almost at the start of Registration for Fiesta... I believe its the 4th of March. That's it ...yes.. the first day of registration for Pilots who want to be considered for entry into this awesome event. Its a massive undertaking for the people who put it on.. from the core team at AIBF to the volunteers that come from everywhere to help put this show on the road.

Here are some of my crew working very hard... very very hard.. yes.. you can see the sweat on their brows... whew!  Look at that grass... New Mexico.. Grass?? Lies.. its fake.. its CGI.. Green Screen!

Nope... sorry to disappoint you... its real.. its thick... its green and normally on the mornings of Fiesta it is very WET!

Last year I did something I had not done in the past... well part of it... I did during registration linger.. lounge.. lurk.. and loiter.... there weren't any signs against it!  Hay!  Really.. No.. they didn't escort me off the field! No.. you heard wrong!

This last year the wonderful people ( Elisa ) set me up with a reserved table...LOL.. I even had a placard.
I hung about and helped out Pilots who were at fiesta for the first time. It came to me that I could do that here right before Fiesta Registration.

So if you're a Pilot who is thinking about registering and flying in the Most Photographed Event In The World!!! Then get ready....

Here is a short list of things you will need and need to do... or want to do... Good to get this stuff done now.

1. Get all your docs ready now!  Scan your Pilot log book and balloon log book and also your Pilots licence.

2. Got your insurance ready? Who is your Insurance carrier? Do you know how many hours you need to be allowed to fly in Fiesta?

3. Balloon annual done? Are you like me and my annual inspection is in September? Yikes! Fiesta is very particular about paperwork being in order. The FAA are on the field every day... we can talk about ramp checks later.

4. Flight review done? Don't wait till the last minute.

5. Oh! Don't forget a picture of your balloon. Make sure its the right size too!

Okay.. that's enough about that tonight. Think about those 5 items... we can talk about it later or you can reply to me and I will respond with answers or point you in the right direction.

AH... Get you one of these!!!  Go Pro Hero2!!  You cant go wrong with this little cam!

The mount is a suction mount for vehicles or whatever. I use one of these normally...

Its a flexi arm. Its cool. Its easy to move about. You can get it out of the way if you need to in a hurry.

More tomorrow!!!   Go scan a document!!! Go.... Registration is almost here!!!
