Three trips

Naaa.. probably more.. but its all bunched together so right now its an unknown what where how why when... and I do love a surprise.

One of my favorite books or guides really, before the internets and google maps and other stuff was the book below. You could find a walk, then take the page with you and go for a walk. Now you have your phone.. which is so very less fun....

There was even a plastic cover for the page you removed so it wouldn't be damaged while you were walking... So of the pages and interesting things...  This is where I got a lot of my favorite ideas.

So much detail and in print.. not a link or a blurry.. Okay .. some are blurry cause I took the picture in the semi dark....

I was trying to explain the multiple trips thing.... I really want to do one by myself as I expect to not be staying still longer than the time it takes to get the shot or the video clip or both then off....

It will be not a full run but not a tourist visit. THe second trip will probably be the leisurely wander and take pictures without the constant stopping, starting, rushing dodging,, all that. Then there will be the location visits.. A friend just did this... Went to London.. stayed in London.... Did all the Londin things... and I could go here because there are some off the wall treks I want to do.. mainly the tube system and train system... plus a few other weird ones. Heh!

Thats almost what I would want to do on the first run trip.. Bath/Bristol. It would be perfect. If I take the long view on it and one or two trips a year... its quite doable... plus I have to get back to Italy though the group from Brindisi High are working on a package / group things and I would love to be on that. Mainly they will be going where I want to go already and I will not have to worry about the language barrier as much and go get pictures of the things I want to get... Hopefully not arrested.

So back to a 7 day Bath/Bristol run. Doable? Things to see I might not think of? Places you like that I would like to see? I may even drop in on my old school if I can finagle it. I did 3 to 4 months in the big house there... Old school rooms with dual seated flip desks and ink wells and fountain pens and blotting paper and ties and shorts and knee socks... awesome childhood!

What will be funny is what people will be looking like as I take pictures of the rust between wrote iron posts and culvert covers and sidewalks and stones and rooftops. Even the grass and dirt and signs and stuff... all going to be photographed and all....

It should be a hoot.

Here is my facebook banner for the day... I really like trains.. Not.. I have to have a train set kind of like.. a buy your ticket... sit on the crushed velor seat.. lay your head against the window looking forward or back and feel the motion as you move out of the station... England has the nicest railways around... I mean to do some train travel in the States too... an Albuquerque to Kansas run, a Los Angeles run.. a San Francisco run.. yeah.... cool stuff...

The Rail Runner is a short haul rail but its a damn classy bird.

I love man hole covers too... but I don't collect those either except via camera.

Off I go.. to get some Ice Cream.... Dont judge me!!!!
