Fresh

The view is inspiring but the double feelings being... well, felt are odd. Like an echo repeating quietly after a gong has been hit and left. Stepping away from the edge and turning to the left, following the roof edge inward and between angles to the roof access. The lock unlocks as hand reaches for door handle. Through the door and down, the sound of the click, clack of the lock resetting follows me down into the building. Entering another access door without breaking stride and seemingly avoiding everyone inhabiting the building. Stepping out of the ground floor door and moving off to the left towards the very old trees standing there. Having another echo of those exact same trees being saplings, ringing with double vision that fades quickly I step off and stand next to the closest tree. Reaching up my hand rubs the tree like petting an old friendly dog.

Too windy for flying so I didn't even get out of bed and go to the Fiesta Park. I checked the weather report the night before and figured it would be a wash. So, since I got to lay in a bit longer I set myself for finishing up the guest room. Not painting the retouching spots though. That can wait. I washed down all my matchless candle holders and reset them on the floating shelf. All were coated with local dust ( its impossible to not have a lot of dust in the desert. You just have to live with it ) and took a while to get nooks and cranny's. Both of the holders with music boxes in their bases work great still. Then removing all the computer cables and relocating the router and modem and book case was such fun. Vacuuming and wiping things down and its completely ready for a visit.

Saying the above leaves out that I have to get the closet cleared of stuff that needs to find a home and change the full shelves into half shelves so that clothes can be hung up in it again. Not too much work but more than I can do today.

I spent the morning working on shots that I thought might be fun. Some worked. Some not so much. I took a long time hunting down a specific file full of pictures and then finding out that most were totally unusable for what I wanted to do. Ah well. Its the 11th and I am looking forward to a quick next week and onto the week after that. I have hopes that this week will show some loosening up of funds so I can get some other things done. Fingers crossed. Since I replaced two old grey tabletops at work with two teak desks I have to get in there and put some sealer and polish on them. Many things to do in between things.

Oh yes.. the pictures...

I worked on this over and over until it was good enough to not throw in the trash.

Downfall
This one I worked of on for ages.. still not happy with it.

Looking to go back and tweak some of these more. Hours can fly by while doing these. Time I used to waste on the X box. That's in the closet as well right now. Onto the links for the day....slightly different.

This is on my wish list for Christmas. Even with the "Go Away" sign on the door that didn't stop a local repair company from hitting my doorbell then wandering around my front yard before I could get the door open. Damn fool telephone repairman. It would seem my inconsiderate rear neighbors phone was out and the box is in the corner of my back yard. I so wanted to say.. No trespassing but.. I didn't
