Day..... lets check.. day 7 of 6 ...

Flyable days in the bag! 6^ days to fly. Six days flown! One of the best flying Fiestas ever. Today the winds were light and frisky. First North to South.. Then NW to SE.. It felt like every balloon was launching around us but us. It was kinda true. They rotated the launching around us as we are close to the center of the field and the winds kept changing. I was able to be hot and boyant when a zebra came around.. We were off and up and backwards quickly. Keeping to the 200 fpm rise we overflew a couple of other balloons and up to altitude. Had a balloon sitting over our head and not moving so had to watch our ascent into the SE wind. Not that it was a big wind.

Came back down to around 500 ft to locate a thin stream of NE to SW winds. Not big.. maybe 10 feet thick. It was very hard to keep in it and we did until we got to within 100 yards of the landing area I had chosen. Unfortunately there is a cement Arroyo ( diversion channel ) just before which quickly pulled us backwards. Popped up again and got some forwards motion just to be sucked back again. I Decided since I was here I would drop into the channel to wait for the crew to relocate. Once they were above me on the edge of the channel I flew up to the top edge and be caught by the crew. After working out a location to get the system  nearest the chase vehicles we laid it down. Packed it up and carried it all out. Good day. Great flight. Pooped!

Now I am downloading the take for both cameras. one on the top of the balloon envelope and one on the burner frame. Both came out well. Okay I am still dumping the top cam. It will be done soon.

Pictures after that. I will post some here soon... BRB
