Everything that was said today was… its going to be ugly, prepare, snow, ice, earthquakes, small penguins everywhere causing an internet shutdown due to too many cute pictures.

The great moosses migration of 2013 stopped the cold temps due to massive body heat increasing over the greater Albuquerque area. Most people when asked said…. Okay.. usually the snow falls then the sun comes out and the snow melts… nice and quick…. What the hell am I going to do with all the moose poop… Its not melting and the moose keep tracking it in the house and all over the car roofs!

If if stayed around 45 and we had a little snow I would be happy… then it would go to 68 degrees and sunny, even on the weekends.

I was able to get into work today. Not that I am having any pain from the dentist but the drugs are keeping me warm and safe ( dangerous ) feeling. I did get everything I wanted to do, and the reason I came in today done. I also got a bunch of other things done and just didn't go home early as I was going too. It was too easy to stay and complete some more tasks than leave them until tomorrow. You know tomorrow there will be more jobs just screaming to be done.

All in all it was a tad hectic, satisfying, but no frustration for some reason. I am moving more files around tonight so there isn't any editing being done. That and I do NOT want to bite down and hurt myself and I am always clenching my teeth when I edit..... No… I am not fighting with it.. just find myself squinting and clenching my teeth. I think I may post some more funny web pictures that I enjoy looking at. I have them running as a photo stream on my tablet. So funny.. and so reality…. Or my reality.. Your reality is different and subject to change by my reality. Or so the voices say.

In the near future... No Pain No Gain

Yeah right!

Had some work done at the dentists today. So little pain and discomfort. I owe it all to the Dentist and her excellent Assistant. TruCare just off of Golf Course West of Smiths. I cannot recommend them more. As soon as I can I am going to get them up in the balloon. Oh yeah. The whole team there are superb.

So. Since I am on meds to keep the pain away I had to stay home. Since I had to stay home and really couldn't do anything but sit and rest. And I am still sitting and resting... I started moving files around. Ran out of space. Geee... what does it take to get things done. Well.. fine. I will do what I can a step at a time.

Okay.. had a little problem with spell checker. Dog is now sitting beside me on the chair. She wandered around the couch for three hours before deciding to come over. Strange, very set in her ways, doggie.

I wandered around the internets while I was sitting.. hmmm...

Ah HAH! The perfect gift for my scooter riding friends.. yeah.. they will love it. I think I will throw in a comforter and pillows too!!

The last one was a toss up between tunnels under Plymouth England up for sale, Doorknobs dissapearing in Vancouver Canada or Mini sat shot tonight. The sat shot won out. I was having a conversation with my brother a couple days ago on launching micro sats without the use of a big booster rocket or small booster rocket. SHoot off a swarm of 12 or 20 and have them assume the same local and link them via laser. Each unit or small ground do a specific task. Or they can get up there in separate launches and assemble themselves while in orbit. I know they can do it here on earth.. So why not up thar. Or am I just a bumpkin?

Moving pictures today so no time nor ability to do anything with editing today. I dont know about tomorrow work even though there are "Many things to be done". We shall see. Depends on the pain, the swelling and my ability to drive.

Edge detect

One of the problems with what I am doing now in editing shots runs against the choice of sharp edge or soft edges. Sharp would cleanly show the line between what is colorized and in focus and everything out of focus but soft would not make it so abrupt but very hard to keep it right on. Both make it hard. Which is harder… well…. That's choice edge. Zooming in 400 percent on some shots is tough and time consuming but just brushing anywhere looks bad too. I will continue to try for the best possible without getting into every crack and crevice.

The four below are of Zephyrus Kiss and Ship Of Fools. Even with little background to unfocus the process still works. With one the sky is already featureless so unfocusing isn't necessary.

Borderlands

Went over to my brothers and played Borderlands. Well we yacked a lot first then got friends into it. Wanted to play four player but you can only do that online.. oh well. I had forgotten how nuts it is to navigate around the screen when your screen is cut in half. Always having to swivel you look around to get the picture. It was interesting if not a little nauseating.No.. its just that I get very woozy when I am concentrating on the screen and all peripheral stuff fades. One of the reasons I stopped playing the games a while ago. No time but also too sickening after an hour. I would like to play the game with four people over the net sometime though.

I spent some time this morning going over the focus black and white colorizations.. I found some that were interesting to do. I did a few quickies and they turned out good. I have to go back and clean them up.

This is a set of four shots imposed on each other to get all the working lit signs all together. They only go on one at a time and the second one down was not working at all. 

This last one is a favorite but I have to redo it as I screwed up the edging a bit. This size is good but I can tell.. and it wouldnt do for a blown up version at all.

Nice.... and every dang weed on the left side again... yeesh!


I have a thought on this type shot and I am going to pursue it right after I post this...

The two step shuffle

Here I sit, Somewhat not in any pain...amazing. I am spending the day quietly moving files around. I have to get some organization into the last three months of processing and editing. There are video and picture and music files all over. Something like a hoarders house on discs... Since I want to keep with me everything I may be working on I have been carting my Photo external drive around with me. Like a novel in size but like a dictionary in weight. Back and forth. Along with my Windows Surface Tablet ( My almost totally go to computer. I only use the big one for a very few things ) notebook hybrid. Darn thing is being used almost nonstop daily. Its that good.. and with the HDMI out and a power charger at home and at work now its perfect. So.. What I needed was to get rid of the book drive or rotate a smaller package to take with me. I have quite a few mini drives around so I decided to clear one of those and put my primary photographs on it. The raw shots will go to the 1.5 tb book drives and ...and as I said.. shuffling is going on. I have a 17 step procedure to do to get everything where it should be... updated.. verified and mirrored. Its going to take a while and I am using the big computer to do it right now as there are Christmas shows on in the front room where the Surface is. Music playing on my Galaxy s4. This is going to take quite a while, said again....whew. I expect to be moving everything on the Amp1 computer between drives and while that is going on working off the Surface as usual. Now I am typing this out on Amp1. I have gone and found some interesting links already. some very interesting... going to as yesterday and post those first.

As is still being done with the newspapers and media right now started way back... If you don't verify what your reading and seeing and being told in the media then you are a piglet being fed slop and remember what happens to the fattened piglet... yes.. Bacon! If you hear something said the same way on multiple outlets then that is crap.. your eating/absorbing crap.

Lets talk Yellowstone Park.....

Okay... I got caught up last night trying to un-focus the background of a picture. Turn it to black and white and then whatever I wanted to focus on refocus it. I did it.. And some of the shots are nice. Some just don't work. I will post my attempts below. It took quite a while to figure out how to do this. Its convoluted.

The Bob.

 Its kinda tripy. The black and white with color in focus is edgy. Not sure it works this way. So I tried with blur only.

Just Resting a bit.

 Only the Koala is in focus. I expect I will go back and put the front tree in focus as well as it looks odd still.

 Here I did the colorisation and focal point but also brought out the front. THe weeds off to the left were very hard and are not perfect. But its just a test.

Barn Doors and Idiots.

 Another main and forefront focus on black and white. This also gets a little squirrely on the edges. I didn't go deep and work around the weeds.

This one I will go back and blur the background. I think this will be my wallpaper for the day. Its edgy.

This is a post about time and space. Both are constructs of our interaction with each other. We are very simple creatures with so few senses. But I digress.

I spent the day recovering from a visit to the dentist. Amazingly enough this dentist was awesome and the office and people working there were excellent. I mis-remember it ever being this nice. Oh I have a screaming headache.. but not directly because of the dentist. More because I needed a good cleaning and with my already banging constantly head it just made it oh so worse. But my teeth feel great. The dentist has some more work to do to bring me up to snuff but I am heartened by her comments and her very calming conversation. Now if I could just stop clenching my teeth.

I went off looking at web sites while I move files about. 400 gig to start. After deleting about 600 gig. I found many good stories. Here are some of them..
