Hodge Podge.. no relation to....

Its funny how time goes by but stands still. Or seems to. Schrodinger's cat is always being talked about now because they bring it up on the big bang theory ad nauseam. But there ya go… that cat… is it fast or slowly dying or not.

I was stuck in traffic yesterday on the way home. It started out on I-25 N… it was backed up past Gibson so I got off and went down to Broadway. Guess what. They are tearing up a lane of Broadway too. So.. All Northbound avenues short of Central were tied up. I should have been mad about it but the only thing I was mad about was the miles per gallon sensor telling me I was getting less and less mileage due to standing there. While I was slowly moving I was calmed by looking out at the houses and businesses along the road. I saw many possible photographs..from old picket fences to garishly painted walls. Going to have to get down there around 430 sometime and start shooting everything. Also ( another oft used term of mine )… on the way back from the radar I decided to take Central from 9 mile hill back to the I-25 connection. There is a bunch of changes on that road outside and inside the city. Some good, some bad..so… I scratch my head.

Today pictures are a hodge podge of stuff. Some were very hard to do and I just gave up trying to get a fine paint. Some were easy and novel. I really have to just skip over some…

ColorFlutter.
Totally impossible to paint without a year. But still looks good.

Inside Flying.
Balloon store in Old town. All of these are in old town..but only a few.

Solar Fiesta.
This is a tough one. After its black and white its a bugger to find the halos. And the rays well.....

In Line.
I love all the little corridors.

Tourist E Trap.
The poor wooden Indian Carving is chained to the post. Sigh.

Color Breaks.
Changed the whole point of interest.

Shades of Green.
A mundane shot turned into one of my favs because of the reflected green.

Baaaaa Daaaaaa!

Woo nice. I always say.. if your going to build a building… consider the neighborhood.

I can see this. I don't spend 20% of my time in personal things on the net but I have to use it for most of my work. Even my personal computer and phone are used mainly for work at work.

As much as there are more important and immediate things that need looking into… harrumph… this needs to be changed.

One of my pet peeves.

Loose Limbs

Is it Friday yet? No.. hmm… well ( constantly used term ) it has been a good day. Good in that I have the information from a friend down south to help me with my property dilemma. Plus a copy of theirs so I knew what I had to enter. How come I can't get this from the people who run the program? Thank you K.R.B! Both problem children have been organized and processed into PDF format and off they went. Now to see if more information is needed. Its not like they aren't problem children… they just need clarification and all is good. Plus I did get the other stragglers on the bus which I also call good. And… The runt of the litter may just have gotten taken care of too. Fingers crossed.

I saw a bunny with a lampshade on it on the internets. It would move then pop its head out the to see what was going on. Rabbits are funny! Love them. Can a rabbit blush? Can you see it in the cheeks or ears? Reminds me of the rabbit with the pancake on its head. That always makes me laugh.

Shuffling along the files I did find some more shots. Not all of them portals. Two I will post are linoleum from two old shacks in Cuervo. Both are interesting in their designs.. You just have to look past the mud.

I have been thinking on how I can clarify my workspace at the house. I am thinking of putting my computers under my desk and getting rid of the massive corner piece. One, it will make uncabling the computers easier. Two, it will get them off the desk and not looming all the time. Three, it will ease up about a 3ft by 3ft of space by the window. Not sure why this is important. I also am thinking of recabling both the computers into the Pioneer surround system so either one can broadcast and I can get the speakers off my desk. Where I am going to put the Xbox I have not tuned on in months at I don't know. Maybe between the computers. I also have to design some filter plates to keep all the dust and fur out of the boxes. They are clear and you can see everything. Ugh! I'll have to cut two vent ports in the under table box though……..Or rebuild it completely as its too small...hmm.. ( another often used term ).

Green Gate.
This little place looked like it might have been a chapel at one time. Real unedited color.

Red Roses.
Linoleum over linoleum.

Stars and Sparkles.
Cool linoleum covered in a sheen of mud which looked like it had been mopped up.

Through and Through.
Cross shot of the same little building. The holes are there I think to keep the stucco attached. Not that its there now.

Mostly Clear.
Amazing how many refrigerators are still sitting in these places. How much longer... I don't know. The whole town is for sale. Cheap.

Happier things need to be thought about.

Locations along the nets that I stopped at today.

This is a problem with me. I would rather not have to vacuum all the time and I do not want stuff tracked in on my carpets but some peoples bare or socked feet may be worse. So normally its leave your shoes on unless you have been out on the mesa or working around oil.

I would rather the Japanese version but I don't sleep on my floor and my dog liberally coats everything in hair anyways. Never wear black clothes to my house.

Swift Key is a great program. I use it on my pone and also on the android tablet. I have not put it on the surface as its keyboard is just fine.

This is a nice battery back up device. Nice size too. I wished someone would come up with one for the Surface. Not that I untether except when I am out of the house but it would be nice to have emergency power.

I have always, since my children were babes to the age they are now, called them uncontrollable arms. They are bound to smack you in the face at any time. If you think children grow up and never will smack you … your soooo wrong. Well here is another view….

Oh that's funny!

T lets just skip to Friday okay.

Tuesday was better than Monday. Three things broken or unresponsive this morning when I walked in. Three things fixed or back in operation by 8am. Then completed a mod that was not so big as all that but still got it done. That's a good feeling. After that it was chasing property paperwork around like a crazy man. The amount of docs needed to support an item is pretty heavy. I did get information from a good friend on the errors I ran into yesterday. I did leave more messages as well as shot off another email. I want to get this cleared up more than anything. Going to be making another call tomorrow..sigh. I like when things are neat and tidied up…. Unless they look better messy.

So.. well… hmm… favorite sayings.

Running without shoes on through the files and finding last night those doorway shots led me to look for more. Some are good, some are not so good. But I ran some anyway. That what its all about.. taking chances that things will sort themselves out. Here you go… look at these if you care.

No rabbits were harmed in the creation of these shots…. A little stunned though…

Room with a view.
I like this one. It's a hopeful photograph. The beams while hard to render were worth the look.

Pain Free.
Painting just the broken frames turned this from okay to great.

A bit O'Green.
I had mention from a good friend that it might be hard to do this with some places. I think its possible if you look hard enough.

Over The Edge.
This is nice because all portals do not have to be doors or windows.. and the tree climbing into the room makes it extra special.

Ciudad Juarez via Las Vegas Baby!
Look closer. Your wondering what is a portal? No comments on reality. Just that its a reverse. Oh.. This was a movie setup for the movie no something something for old men..whatever. They built it on an overpass into Las Vegas New Mexico.

I think I  will spend the evening doing more. Way fun doing them as long as they aren't too involved. Then I find myself gritting my teeth. Its supposed to be relaxing.. not stressful. Party on Dude! Or Hedgehog.

Some sausage links....

I can like this... Can we get it in Albuquerque? Like from The Airport to Paseo, Montano and Coors and Unser and Central... Id do it.

If this was a credit card with a slide out usb and or such or even a pack of gun size it would be better. I can see snapping this easy...but good idea

These are most excellent. I have a pair already and they are the most comfortable, powerful and noise blocking earbuds I have ever owned. Get U Some!

How bout when I stick my thumbs in my ears and wiggle my fingers... huh huh   huh   huh huh

huh!

Postal.

Here we go again. It was another day of irritation. I am being told to correct something without the adequate instructions on how to go about it. Its like being told.. Here… make this airplane… shoo shoo now.. go do it… and get it done yesterday. I expect you will spend most of your day on the phone or waiting for a reply.. just like me. Ain't it fun!

Oh.. and let me tell you about dead links… I am sick and tired of dead links to information I need.
So if I am hiding out in my house and not wanting to go out or talk to anyone its because I am fed up.

Monday ain't it!

Note to self.. Stop grinding teeth. Do not take it personally ( even though it feels that way ). Tomorrow is another day. They can't take your birthday away. They must have more work than you do. Do what you can.. not what you cant.

Looking through...

Looking Glass

Wonder.

Wishful Thinking.

Wildness.

Brazen.

London…. Looking… okay….

Stolen Art. Bet there’s a lo hiding in the states too..

Nothing but thieves in suits.

Blitz!

Today the head was too painful to do anything much.

I shuffled a bit. I tried to do some colorizations.

I ended up posting four new galleries to my website of the colorizations.

It wore me out.

Tried to put music on but it was a buzzsaw and sitting listening to holiday shows .. well.. my stomach just flopped at the thought.

Tomorrow is Monday already and there are things to do. I really shouldn't thing about it till I walk in the door at work but hay.

I might go back through and see if there is anything that peaks my interest in the files tonight. We shall see.

Here is what I came up with before the crash today.

Raton. Revisting this file. Lots here but deciding what and which is too painful.

Raton again. These last two are on a back road near the rail station. You would miss them if you blinked.

Seaside Beach New Jersey. Before Sandy

Ellis Island. Sky and Water.

Ellis Island Quay.

Water is a very interesting color.

Some somewhat interesting things today. First Art from Junk. If it has lights I am happy. I would have tried to incorporate wind power or solar to light the lights though.

Lets just do away with daylight savings time please. Yes I will give back the hour.

I understand that we are leaping and bounding tech wise. What I don't understand is a slight modification.. IE color case.. and this means everyone has to go buy it for more money. I heard the turnaround time in Japan for tech is two months. Who has that kind of money and can you say your working for the company store???

Interesting but rather meh. Throwing it in because the net is a dull place today.

Woopsie!

I was downloading or Uploading.. yeah.. Uploading the shots from today onto my surface to process and I had 136 shots. I was sure I did more than that... Well after batch processing I went back and looked and it was only a part. So glad I didn't delete the chip because there were another 360 on the chip. Now they are being uploaded and then processed.. whew! The golden hour light was there. Most times that isn't good for post tone mapping as it makes everything much more orange. So most of the start shots will not tone out right. No biggie. Great fun. Lots of close ups with out of focus backgrounds as well as some action shots and just fun shots. The chase was long and we went quite a ways West. Took forever and the roads were seriously water ripped. Many times in four wheel drive and slowly avoiding the most deep cuts. We even had to take a trailer off and rotate it then reattach it so we could get out. Here are a few of the shots pre edit. Wrong!! There were 536 shots on the roll. Whew!

Crowning Moment.

Balloon Wranglers.

Warm Zia.

Pardon Me.

smidgen of the good shots today.

Ring Ring

Nanananananaaa…made it to Friday! Woo weeeeee. Twer a close one.

Now the question is… can I make it out to ballooning tomorrow or not. There must be a riding factor to get me to leave my warm house and join humans in the desert. Coffee? Breakfast?

If I was working from home I am not sure I could get myself to leave the house. I could board up the doors and windows. Only come out after dark. Hide in the dust speckled shafts of sunlight cutting through the boards. I could be the scary old man on the block who's never seen. Hmmm.. Its a thought. Though I bet I couldn't get that sweet work from home bit. I could go on mid shifts. Work 10 to 6.. then I could be in before the sun comes out.

I was working on colorizing some shots from the Tucson desert. It brought back the memories of the blasting heat and unforgiving sun. Everywhere you looked was blazing rippling light. The only thing around was this huge mission. It stood fighting off the burn. Inside it was cooler but not cold. Dark and filled with candle scent and old spices. Garish colors everywhere on the wall. A stark contrast to the outside white. I keep finding myself standing there just outside getting beaten by the force of the furnace. I want to just hide inside. I think during the winter months I will bring up that thought just to keep warm. I will do some more of those but then I am going to have to find something happier to do.

  Single flame.

Indirect Glow.

Arching.

Saints Fire.

Aqua Lumin.

Sun Crashed.

No Sleeping.

This is a mission in Tuscon. The colors are not adjusted. They are very bright but stippled with dust and wear. I would not mind going back here....in the winter.

Chocolate… spies…. Sure… okay

I would not put this in as its connected to Harry Potter but that's not its fault.

Oh.. yes.. that degree… yes its worth quite a lot………

As nice as these are it is rather overpriced. I could knock out a bunch in a few minutes or an hour or two I expect.

Winter is coming. Keep your pets warm when you take them outside. Ring Ring.
