Visually Loud

You know how it pains you to look at a pictures at times... when it is so jarring or dangerously abject as to make you shy away.. Yeah.. lots of that this evening on the nets... I wonder why now three of the sites I used to go to for tech news are copying each other. I have to believe that they are all the same company behind and just upchucking the same drivel over and over again. Glad they are not on the top of the list for anything really tech savvy...savvy?

Its just going to get closer....

I did get an electrician on the calendar,.. woo hoo! Hopefully he can asses the trouble with my fan and trippy breakers. It would be so nice. Sad that it takes Fiesta to get things moving.. but really there hasn't been a need to just jump out there.. and there is also the assistance in locating a reputable electrician that delayed things.... All good.. We shall see when he has finished if I'm in pocketbook pain or not.

It was a quiet but busy day. I knew it was time to pack it in at 445 when my spreadsheet refused to accept a 15 digit number and kept trying to make a sum out of it. Time to walk away... step back... just close it up. Which I did...whew. I am hoping tomorrow it has not deleted itself again. That's been happening lately too. I save in two places now.

I did a foolish thing again today also.... I went to Walmart during the daylight hours....Woah! I had to get a few items for work... Walking past the checkout counters looking for one that was not three deep in people I passed some winners... there were three powered sit down shopping carts in a stack at the end of the isle and the three ( large, not handicapped people ) were now idly standing there checking out. Yes.. the left the carts there and walked out.... they seemed to just want to ride around the store and inconvenience real handicapped people and the store and people trying to work around their leavings.... Yup.... before 10am and after 6pm.... or never.

Oh well... It was interesting to watch humanity again... and we wonder why extra terrestrials never seem to visit.. who would? The planet in one damned reality show.

I can count quite a few fantastic people I get to spend time with.. I count myself very lucky and blessed to have them in my life... they on the other hand wonder where the cameras are when I am around.... hahahahaha.

Really Woah!

Today... today was fun. We didn't quite fly away but we did inflate and play around taking pictures in front of the new Sid Cutter Pavilion and Museum.. then goofing around and wandering around the field and then laying it all down and tail gating... What a good time.

Before that and right as the morning brief was going on then on hold then on again the horses and riders from the mounted rescue showed up. I had to bounce over and get pictures.... and I didn't want any ole pictures either... and I got what I wanted... plus some horse snot.... or drool.... Well.. one horse was a messy eater... That would be the blonde..... with the "hair".

They were out to acclimatize some horses to the sound of the balloons and the crowds.. There was an amazing amount of kids who just raced up to the horses and laid on hands.... Those horses were the best behaved I have ever seen... Cool.. collected... I don't know about having four or five sets of hands on my nose at the same time... I would probably nibble a few fingers off.... They didn't.. they just stood there and took it....  I walked around and shots some shots.. chatted with two of the riders...

So many more shots and no balloon shots done today so they will just have to wait till I feel like doing them.... wait and see..... I expect in the next couple of days .. Oh yeah.... Being its Fiesta and the most photographed event in the world.. and the massive amount of shots I take at the event... well.. staggering.... Then because there are so few days left... its really a nuclear option to getting things done.... A Warning of sorts...

Really.. the front needs a bit of weeding as it was not done per contract.... and the pond needs cutting back..... everything else is pretty tight. A bit of caulk.. some vacuuming... and an electrician... oh and trailer logo.. must remember that.....

That 777 number seems very nice now. It also seems to be dragging forward not unlike a slightly less than fresh zombie... The old kind of zombie.. not this foolish fast zombie stuff.... zombies running.. right.. and shedding bits and pieces as they go... sure Wilbur...

No... its slow going but fast going... I know for a fact that when the last day of Fiesta hits it will be me standing there going.. "Well that went fast!?!" Now what. Its happened before and it will happen again. I hope its a nice one is all I can say. Last year was very nice so I worry about this year. Hell I worry about the grass being too wet tomorrow! I am a class A constant worrier. You would be too.

This day was unusual but not in the ways of most things. Getting up and on two feet was the best thing I can say for this morning. Two feet.. one totally aching body. I mean.. really... I should have had a drag around town hitting every bar or dive in the area... jumped off a few bridges... skated behind a bike or two... run up to the crest and back all while chugging milk shakes and getting slapped with a half dead mackerel!

But drag to the coffee maker and sipping a sad bit of instant overly doused in milk and sugar to make it easier to swallow I stared at the monitor for a bit. Since this was just making me more upset I decided to throw on a few things and run the balloon down to get propane. Ortegas was open... They were not too busy and I got to pull up right away... The valve for the fuel line was a bit off and had to be put right straight up .. not over nor just under to get fuel flowing. That tank one started spewing fuel right away told me that it had just the morning test last flight done and my main run was off the other... which .. amazingly after switching sides filled about 9 gallons. Paying up and deciding to go to Sams for gas... which was about 10 cents cheaper than the corner store.. I ran into a balloon Pilot friend.. me looking like death warmed over and her looking far too perky.... Well it was nice to visit.. sorry if my breath was a shade on the toxic side...... Good luck with the run tomorrow.

After I dragged everything back to the house you could already feel the heat coming on... great... Quickly I spread week barrier out front in the sadly cleaned up area... very sad.. going to take me about an hour to get it right.... but.. there you go....

Oh ah.... yes... I got the saws all out and fitted a few less abused blades in and cut off the four long bolts that were waiting to gouge someones knees off... gone.. clear... and a visit by a blue tailed lizard.. name of Bert. He popped over.. walked between my feet.... stopped.. ran back.. investigated one of the newly cut off bolts and sat while I finished up... Then headed for the high grass.. No help what so ever!

It was getting pretty hot out and I knew I had to still figure a way to support the left side shelf... What I wanted didn't work out but I found some metal L brackets that worked fine for now.... Until I take it all down and redo it. I wanted a shelf but I didn't want the weight of all the lumber it would take to do it up a slick. So brackets it was and they work okay. For now. All the chairs went back in their bags and relocated to the center of the shelf while the left has the helmets and bag O stuff. Right side has the tire nut remover and whatever else I can put up there. Maybe gear bags... Dunno yet. Its done. Trailer is as done as it will be.

Later we drove over to Kaufmans for a replacement flying hat.. Got two... Found one old one after... Ran past Five Guys.... Noisy.. then forced our way through Walmart for some extras... Like ice for tomorrow. You can stand there in the isles in Walmart and watch the bovine mentality standing across the isles, with grinding of brain cells they amble this way and that.. letting their offspring crate an impassible area... and when you say.. "excuse me" they look at you like you just told them to (*^@ Off... Bite me you wacko loonies! You do not understand "excuse me"??.. Yeah, they cant seem to do anything that isn't self centered...They cant even understand to look that up..and.... they wont...or cant unless its while taking a selfie in the ham and cheese section.

I really have to remember to only go to Walmart after 6pm or before 10am.

The remainder of my day was finishing up bins.. closets.. paperwork.. and pictures.... lastly blog.

I did purchase some more gloves for the trailer though....!!

Should be four sets now in the trailer.. they do seem to wander off a lot... LOLOLOL... I hope I can find my gloves in the truck where I left them.. but since I cant locate my hats I have worries about that too.

Tomorrow.. ballooning off of Fiesta field.... with the AAAA... There will be a mini Fiesta going on if it like any previous September rally's.... Lots of Balloons.. Usually more than anywhere else in the world but a few... I will be checking the grass..... not pulling anything out if its too wet... If its okay.. pulling things out and rigging to check.. if its real nice we may go fly a bit just to check that part out. I looked at the weather and winds for tomorrow and they are either going the wrong way or not going a good way.. Heading North East from Fiesta field is never a good thing for a short good flight....It heads right to the local Pueblos Golf Course.. They frown ( but bear it ) if we get stuck there... Which we try to not do.

While working on a nice facebook banner my drives kept freezing up... I would spend 45 mins working on something and it would have to be shut down... So I ended up resetting things then doing something up quick.... Oh well.. After Teds morning poster its all I can think.. quiet.. reflective... No bobble heads anywhere... What you people are lucky not to see.... hahaha... Logo poster is information for flying in the Albuquerque area and also a bit from a Oldfield song... 20 instead of 5. QE2.

I like the runway / taxi light kinda thing.

Way Late and a few Dollars short.

Wow did it get late quickly. Been a crazy day... Work didn't go anywhere near where it was supposed to. Due to a server failure everything that was scheduled for that time went right out the window. Now next week will be catch up on a bunch of stuff. Ugh... Catch up....

So.. the fun thing today was that my cell phone browsers got a virus.. or really a redirect problem. Bastards! Its going around and infects IOS and Android stuff. Lots on the nets about it but no clear cure for the troubles it causes. Thank goodness I rarely keep anything important on the phone so it was wipe and reload... It took time but not as much as you would think. It was quicker due to Androids restoral and backup services. A lot of things I would have had to restore were already there.

It needed a good wipe anyways. Upped has increased and all the stupid apps that I had downloaded and used once are gone. I have to re-setup the screens but that's just not much of a problem either. What did bother me the most was the brain dead thought behind the attack. If you are going to use a redirect to cause me to see and then ?want? what you sent me to the last thing I am ever going to want is what you forced into my face.... You are that stupid? Just like the ads that run before youtube videos.. guess what.. I am not using any of those services or items.. nope never.

I read a lot about holidays and how they were set up and lengthened to get you to buy buy buy... well I dont... We dont.. We do not do "Valentines Day" Mother and Fathers days are simple and no gifts are ever exchanged.. Christmas was for the kids and now they just get some extra money... We enjoy the season without getting tricked into spending more than we normally would... We can usually enjoy little gifts year round if we want to do that.... Don't get hooked.... Now saying that.. it was not right away.. we did get pulled in when we were young. No longer.

What I did have fun seeing was a cool off road camper vehicle which was completely impressive... The links below. Talk about self sufficient! The main items for me in a camper type vehicle is to be able to use it while moving, to have a large enough toilet /. shower area and the ability to run unconnected... this thing does it all and adds a nice coffee maker in the mix... totally awesome.. I get 300 k I may just have to go get me one of them.

Pictures today are from my cell phone... wall papers I have adapted... I lost a few of the ones I had just uploaded as they didn't get backed up but I have copies.. or the originals on the computer.

I have to do some more with all the posters I have been making lately... So much to do .. so little time.

Oh .. I did get my trailer roller leg re-positioned inside the "A" area of the tongue.. works great! Now I jsut have to cut the bolts down and coat them with a rubberizer so no one get poked by then and I ahve jsut added 8 to 10 inches to a turn without hurting the truck or tire or leg. Woo Hoo!.

Tomorrow.. Propane and fix the shelf.. Got that figured out on the drive home today..What a country!

Ortegas propane opens at 0700....I will get there soon after probably....since I will more than likely be up at that time... Then its Ice and sodas and snacks for Sunday.. Come home.. Fix the shelf... repack the chairs and table... then get some other things done prepping for Fiesta. Lost to get done this year.... instead of the .. damn.. Starts tomorrow.. Crap.... of the last few years.....

Werkin it.

Most of today was spent working on the trailer while watching my Angie's list landscapers work "one at a time" or so it seemed. I paid for two people for four hours or one for eight hours... I got one for four. They did get the main part of my jobs list out of the way but when they bailed 30 minutes early I find myself deciding that its not worth the money unless they are monitored by a foreman. I will have to go on and report my feelings about this but I feel they did what I mainly asked them to do so I am a dither. Will I use them again.... no.

Will I use Angie's list again.... not sure.. I need an electrician and a plumber... I know a very good plumber so I really only need an electrician. I am wondering if I will get the same service.  I can hope. I will try them one more time and see what happens...

So the trailer lights turned out to be much easier to replace than I thought. I figured I would be wiring and cutting and resetting all day but turned out that the side lights were already set for crimping and the back lights just needed total removal and re-thread and then wiring into the old spots. Easy Peasy.

I got a great email just now from American Airlines stating my tickets have been processed and credit card charged form my flight..( what flight you ask ).. Just open the attachment to view the documents.... RIGHT!! I was born yesterday.... Bite me Spammer/Trojan Horse Faced Scum Suckin Weed Eaters!!

Mmmm... So yes... Trailer is all nice in the lights section. I did also remove the spare tire from the side of the tongue ( if you turned a bit much you smashed the tire into the bumper and said bumper is pushed into the truck a bit more than it should be ) and into the trailer itself. Its strapped now to the inside right where it is not really in the way nor is it hard to remove. I may move it somewhere else but its not where it got in the way with the truck.

I was going to work on the shelf in the trailer  but it became way too hot out to be in it. Since my hydration system is bad I could not stay and sweat it. I will work on it Saturday morning along with switching my front lift roller to an inside position to again stop from mashing it against the truck. This should clean up both sides of the tongue area....Woo Hoo!I think after that I will tie wrap my power connector more securely and I think we are done with that.

I also rearranged the bins in the garage, swept out the corner, re-positioned the freezer, hung up the bags, did a wash, cleared the fridge or old food and ran two loads of dishes through the washer and unloaded ( every dish or eating device was clean), got every piece of trash out of the house, folded clothes, moved backup blankets to nice clear bins and parked them in the nice clear bin area freeing up the inside linen closet for as needed sheets and blankets. Wow... I even arranged the truck bins.. for baggies, tie down straps, one large tarp, releases, hand warming pads, trash bags, velco, and last but not lease a roll of TP. Whew.

Tomorrow back to work and rest... hahahahahahaha...... My back may be killing me but at least I am sitting. I did cut up some pictures for today from Angel fire that I will use as wall paper across my two screens at work. They are restive.

 

Thank goodness I save everything I edit... I save it EVERYWHERE so it will be hard to get it all together when I want to upload it all to my web site but that will happen here soon....very soon.

My facebook banner for the day is one I have taken pictures of before and I used it this time with a little edit for the daily count.. it took longer to do the stupid numbers than it did to process the picture... sheesh!

I think its pretty hideous as art and a serious problem for emergency landing but it makes a goofd forefront to the mountains... and that's good enough for now.

My logo today was harder to edit than everything else.... Not quite as bad as yesterdays ... which didn't turn out as I wanted but neato still...  I had to chase down another cool Zebra shot and edit that small picture for what I wanted.... which was one of the stances a Zebra will take if they want you to stay put. Two thumbs down out. Hold In Place. I decided to split the "IN" because every way I tried it it would not be even.. I had to nudge the Zebra over a tad too.. but it works... Then it was get the day number in there... but where.... Nothing I could think of to put it right up front so decided to run it behind in a strip thing.... It came out nice but I had to work to get the Zebra back to white.

There is nothing more frustrating than be on hold standing up and waiting to launch as to have to go to the toilet at that same moment. Most times I can just ignore it and lock the bladder down but sometimes it can greatly affect you... Ugh... No you cannot leave the basket after you are standing up... not legally.... No porta on board either....

Such a great movie...on so many levels its was dumber than a box of rocks but great to watch. Like watching a train wreck but it ... just....keeps... going....along.....

I don't really know what to post tonight. No time for much of anything as work ran on a bit longer than I expected today.... Just the way it goes.

I had a good "race" with a red Camero... Not that I was racing or trying to beat this person... he seemed to think he had cut me off earlier on the highway and decided he had to show me what was what almost to my doorstep.. me I was listening to some music and wondering why he was trying to overtake me every chance he got... Sorry.. the only idiot I saw in front o me was a texter driving between side lines.. hit one.. weave back.. hit the other... weave back.... Good laws. Reminded me a lot of....

Heh.. spent a good 20 minutes just editing this silly thing.

Yeah.... something like 8 days of daily's to go... I seem to now be looking forward to the break. That and editing and uploading pictures to the web site again... Oh and there is also some video I need to fix and my program took a dive so I have to get that working again. Nothing is more frustrating then going to edit and having the program puke up in front of you.... Oh well.. Here are a few fisheye shots from Fiesta Field.. Or over it.. way back when....

So many feets up in the air. May have to try for the same shot this Fiesta... we can compare it then and now. If I get a chance.. If I can see through all the other balloons.. If I get real lucky.
