Not major events or full affecting items but things like shoes, posters, bits of detritus and the odd cat you see twice. Not unlike deja vu... but more like.. didnt I see that somewhere else... like three times....
So interspersed with the day to day spikes of major things you get some reruns. I guess everyone needs a bit of a break now and then and I know we are way the heck out on the edge of said reality to merit much thought in the wallpaper of our lives but gosh.. you would think .. well never mind.
Next time your about your day see how many things seem to be repeats or duplication's. It cant just be me.
One sad spike and sad loss of this year already was a ballooning friend ( framily ). Lost early and suddenly.
We did a balloon glow memorial and it was a somber but loving event with quite a bit of warmth involved.
Quite personal so that's all I will say about that.
On the next morning we went out to see if we could fly. I could fly. I remember what things did what to do the "in the air" bit.
Forecasted winds were 2mph to the Southeast. Not the best direction but at 2mph not much of a problem... yeah... didn't happen.
We watched people get ready and when it looked like the sun was not going to heavily change our ground wind direction we got everything out and set up. It was easy and quick. I was lagging to try and take off with friends but we were up and ready to go... so we went.
Two happy spikes to that day were a friend did his first solo flight and another friend got his private Pilot licence.
It was a fun flight for myself. Out West, land, up 500 ft and go East, stop, drop, go West then curve off on coming to ground level heading right for a house to land on the other side of the road nice as pie. Cherry pie!
Even able to take some pictures with the sun peeking in and then and making most things look too dark. Thank goodness for a good bit of editing.
Here are a few.
The morning skies. The sky clouded up more before the sun could get clear of the mountains.
Our private Pilot examination just after landing.
Kisses of Fire and across the road where there was a nice big open field I didn't land in. ( I landed beside the road on the other side ) Why.. because.
My track. Yellow green low west ( left ) red up 500 ft and east ( right ) and then the hook backwards to the West then South.
Fred gets some Sandia background picture time.
Mezz and Babbs also go for the nice framed shot.
And these two stayed in the sun and showed me where the winds weren't..
And the winds were going two different directions so very close together I got this shot of Chris going West as I just above him went East.
So it was a lot of fun and we got to dump shredded paper and champagne on our new Pilot Seth while Babbs got away with just a bit of a soaking on the other side of the field.
There were a few things I ran into on the nets this weekend....
One... Numbers...
https://lifehacker.com/5961035/how-to-listen-to-real-spy-broadcasts-right-now
http://www.numbers-stations.com/
Stations that broadcast strange things....
and..
a cool gadget you can find on amazon...
Suspension measurement marking position tool - Esste Tools for measuring the suspension and horizontal wall of the roof
Just copy and paste that into Amazon.
Here we head into the first full week of the new year.
Are you ready?
I have a nice thermos that carrys about five cups of coffee in it....
Yeah I get jittery after all that..... not sure if that's a good thing or not.
Now I've run out of thoughts other than I have not posted a darn thing to Instagram in ages.
