Work this day was quiet and moved along. I had a few things to do correct property listings, remove property, copy a list, send it in an email to HQ. Oh then one of our cameras decided to pack it in. It just stared at the ground… That's it. I had to call that one in.

Got propane. I didn't really need to as I had half full tanks and I am not flying anywhere just glowing tonight. The glow is at the Rio Del Oslo golf course. After there is a pot luck which will be fun for a bit… then home and in bed. I even got gas at the overly crowded Sams club. Traffic is overfull with goobers.

I am trying to get this written in between everything. Loading tanks and fan. OKay tanks are in the back of the truck still and warming, Sodas and water and fan will go in next. Looking for flashlights now. You ever try to drop and pack a balloon up in the dark… no fun.  Plus I supposedly will be picking up a 105 envelope sometime in there.

Clothes… yes..  clothes will keep you warm. Unless you like to run around in your house in shorts and a t shirt during the depth of winter…. But I digress. If you want to keep specific areas warm and not a whole house… I would get the Oil heater. Slow but constant. Also its better on your electric bill.. and it can be moved from room to room. You ever run around your brain and start asking questions?

I end up a lot of the time with the word “because”.

I run into this when there are far too many variables to consider inside my head.

I think this is fuzzy logic and / or non specified non linear thinking. Starting with a concept, and as it gets more complicated you either start flow charts which also become complicated to the point of meaninglessness or just label everything.. because.

From a good book by T Powers ( paraphrased like crazy ). Your choice… how do you measure a shore line. Too broadly and you miss the details. Too fine and you are buried under them. If I could just get my mind to “let go” of the process and accept that “because” I would be happier.

I can worry with the best of them, and also get in deep depression because of it too. Oh.. and running around in circles is a normal thing for me too. Round and round and round.

I cleaned up my office today. Removed all the knick knacks and pictures. I have relocated my computers, re-positioned my few plaques and only have one banner up on the wall and the K+E Leroy set of my Fathers. I dusted too though I could see that showing back up from our air system quickly. Is it going to stay this cleared. I think so. I think in the new year I want a lot less clutter in my everyday life. I did take pictures of everything so I could at least have them for a slide show perhaps. I am not throwing anything out.. Just taking it to the house to pack away.

Next I will think about moving the desk space around. I think I would rather have one 8 foot work counter on each side so I can separate my computers from my paperwork. I am still thinking about it.

See… round and round. I also worked on our property list and the VoIP attendant wording. Everything else is pretty quiet. YAY! I did get a bunch of property processed for salvage.. Double YAY. All in all a good day.

So I shall stop my weirdly strange countdown to christmas via the song and go with.. two more days till Christmas!

Twas an interesting day. I have to keep my calm... try to keep my calm. I am way too agitated and have been for over a year now. The least thing will set me off. Today I knew I had to get a few things done. 1. Get trash bags and benadryl. 2. Get new tires for the Beastly fan. 3. Buy some clear pine to set up my new computer book shelves. So, at 930am off I went. Traffic was light. Only a couple of dingos in the tall grasses. Got to Harbor Freight and picked up two hard tires instead of the inflatable ones as they last longer with goat heads everywhere. I just have to install them. Ran to Lowes just a couple of blocks away and picked up brackets and one 1 in by 6 in by 8 ft clear pine board. Since it was so quiet there there were many assistants to help me. They even cut my wood. Too bad I got one of the measurements wrong. Too long but not a great error. Then ran over to Walmart, another couple blocks away and picked up the two items plus some orange chicken. Yum! It was quiet and as I said, only a few dingos. I did all this in about 45 minutes. I was agitated.. Not by anything but I was.

Getting all this home and unloaded, whew boy. Still buzzing I decided I would get the book shelves set up. Strangely one of the cases is not true. As cheap as they are it's no surprise. I ran the brackets and positioned everything. Had to add a few screws in one bookcase as it had come loose of its shelf. I ran all the cables and re ran some that needed to be changed. Vacuumed and dusted everything as well as the computers. Hooked up all the cables and turned em on. Sweet! Everything worked as it is supposed to and looks clean and uncluttered. Now I still have to hook up the xbox and television but I need a longer hdmi cable and, and, and, something... I forget. I will remember. I didn't set up the surround speakers either. My back started killing me so I gave up for the day. Looks nice really... see..

Amp1 and Amp2 up and running. The cable management on 1 is better than 2. I have to fix that sometime.
I think I may try and find a good piece of 2in x 12in x 12ft boards for the floor and the top.

The computer room is so open and clear now. Much still to do yet. Ah I remember... Cable splitter. I have a four port and need a two port.. I remembered!!!

So now I am sitting in my chair with the dog on my lap. I have a blanket on and the keyboard is resting on Izzys butt. She could care less. She is warm and comfy.

Me and Izzy had a fun time of her chasing the ball while I tried to wrap a few presents. If your prezzy has slobber and dog nail holes in it.. sorry. After that she decided that all the bubble wrap was evil and destroyed it. Yes. Shredded plastic everywhere.

What  a day this day made ( hah ). Seems shorter for some very weird reason.. Very short. I will have to have a quick thought about it before the sun goes down..

Started early this morning. Out to the store. Stopped by Cost Plus world market.. no good English candy, but lots of great furniture I don't need but want. Outside was a kid about 17 or 18.. looking pretty cold even though he had two coats on... He asked if we had fifty cents for the bus. He got the fifty cents plus a little more. I felt bad for him. I would have given my coat to him but he had two of those. I dunno. I feel for the kid. Its tough on the 16 to 22 year old's because of the limitations put upon lower paying job creators by the draconian health care costs and the increase in minimum wage when everyone should know that a job flipping burgers is mainly there for kids to learn how to work, not support a family. Increase the minimum wage ( use any excuse ) and you lower the amount of jobs available. Why, because the company knows how much you will pay for a burger and also knows how much it will cost for full time workers for health benefits... so less workers working less hours... everything is all screwed up. And there are kids walking the street in the cold. Probably families walking the streets.. this is progress? This is taking care of everyone.. yeah right. There are cold people out there.. do what you can.

Rant off... sorry...

So we did get the grocery shopping done plus picking up some minor things to finish out Christmas. Nothing needed so it will be gift giving. I like that. I do not need anything really. I do like having the family over. Wished we were closer to all the family but we just had a partial family reunion at Fiesta in October so that's all good.

Off on a side track again! Wow! Okay .. so out early... in and out of the store quickly.. back to the house. Cleaned up and put away all the things then decided to start the move of the computer room. It went well. Cannot believe the amount of dust and cables and power strips! Woah! Its all cleaned up and the second side table is removed, the corner is gone. It was dicey getting it out of the house.I had made it so it "just" fit through the doorway. Woooo.... After that it was calculated move of the three bookshelves, then move the computers to them. Vacuuming and wiping everything down done. Its all just waiting for me to get the front spacing boards and brackets. I might get a nice piece of wood for the top so it's one long smooth surface. The room already looks more open and clean, crisp, less cluttered.

Tomorrow I will run out and get the wood and brackets and install that, then run power and cables. If you saw the room it would look very symmetrical to you. I have bad OCD. My OCD has OCD. Its a good thing.

Once I had stopped cleaning and moving my back decided it was time to scream about it.. nice... so I sat down and did some edits.. minor but okay.

Two good things today. 1. I finished up a computer property remove doc ( 9 pages long ) and its ready to send to HQ to get their approval. Once that is done I can do the main removal paperwork along with a bunch of other things that are not on that list… Anything with a hard drive you know. After that is out I can look into all the other things. 2. VIP or the Noaa Weather Radio Voice Improvement Processor is up and working with a new audio board. 3. I had. A good lunch of soup.. Oh that's three… Fourth… No one expects the Spanish Inquisition.

Lets start again.

I found myself looking at some of the pictures my Dad took when he went to England last. I found a bunch of stained glass shots that were nice but not usable in their current form. Most were from the side lower or too dark or had some other odd angle. What I did was take them, run them through a tone mapping, then brought them into GIMP, aligned them best possible for straight on view and cropped for subject. After that I made black and whites out of them. Some I defocused. Then I went back in and painted what I wanted. I even went back and tried different things. They turned out pretty nice. I wish I had hi quality versions to work with but… that's why I am planning a visit myself.    Soon.

Soon ish. I just spent a whole minute trying to get ish to stay ish not wish. Sheesh!

And two more minutes with the next two. Dang spell check. Oh boy now my fingers are typing things I am not thinking.. like Damn for dang back there.

Okay.. I don't much care about a gift I receive under a few conditions, and  proviso. If I receive a gift that someone put a bit of thought into and didn't just grab something off the shelf, I thank you. If I cannot use it I will regift it to one who can or it will be donated. That was the proviso. I had this happen with my work card.. not at Target.. just random hit and charge. Not nice, not fun, not happy at all. I like the first commented on the comments section. Two or more number sets on the card. You use this at regular stores. Online there should be a verification process.. my card being ripped off should have hit many bells… 1. Not my name 2. Not my location. 3. Wrong item for the card. 4. Wrong location second time. I could go one. This should have hit the alarms hard… not a tinkle.

Sad times when it would be good to go to a paperless money system.. or almost paperless. Unfortunately you can't secure anything online… and never ever trust the gov't with any data… any… they will misuse it then blame some low echelon person. Always happens. No one in the top is held accountable like they should. I remember way back when that if one of your troops screwed up.. first your head rolled.. then if the troop knew it was wrong and didn't report it or refuse his head rolled. Now…. Since I am rearranging the home office ( Whitehall ) for clarity I thought that I should do that for my office office. Right now there are lots of trinkets and bobbles and banners and such everywhere. Its a little, messy. I think I am going to take pictures of all the wall stuff and make them into wallpaper or for a slide show on a screen. The knickers nakkers I will remove and maybe take pics of the good stuff then pack it away or just fling it. January 1st is coming and I would like a breath of fresh going into the new year. I need to readjust my desk space, also for more ease of use. I tried it with a J shape desk zone but I think I am going to go back to I I on the desks and separate my computer space from the other space so I have computers on one aside and workspace on the other. May raise the desk up. An inch or two too. Sorting the stuff ( file cabinets and tools case out will be another problem.

The home office ( London underground Whitehall ( second stall in the mens privy ) is moving along. All the drives are packed away. All the cables are sorted and packed. I moved the hard bound books out and paperbacks are going to the garage tomorrow. All the paperwork is stuffed away and misc are off the shelves. Then sort and file or move the random DVD stack somewhere. Its getting there. Its getting there. I also was able to get the dishwasher emptied and refilled. Oh and checked the fan.. fans. 

The 5hp fan with the P tip has a fuel problem. It leaked it out and then when I refilled it and tried to start it it would only go if tilted forward. It need a service. The big Tecumseh 10 hp fan turns right over but needs the tires replaced. 20 dollars at Harbor Freight. Its just a beast so I use the little one. Well I guess I will get some tires for now.

I did wrap presents last night. Just a few. Maybe I will get to more later tonight… maybe not. Last bit of shopping is this weekend. Hopefully early so we miss the mad rushes. Hopefully.

We have no imagination? We like looking at the same thing over and over. We are startled if things change too quickly. I may have to print one of the above and see if they want to hang it to liven things up. It might be too traumatic.

If you read yesterdays blog you would understand and keep more wary in the Zoo or Antarctica or the Falkland island area. You are not safe on some flights due to their purloining plane tickets.

I’ve made a list. Checked it twice. It is 6 specific items long with multiple sub lists. I think its a good list. I think I can even adjust the timing on some of it to get easy things done ahead of the main list. Yes… its the process I will have to go through to modify the computer room to clear it or simplify it. I will lose desktop space, but I have never used it for its intended purpose anyway. If it all works out right you will not be able to see any cables at all. Hopefully.

Ready or not….. Oh and I need to get the cross cut saw from the bro. Hmmm…. Timing.

I’ve also started a list for his coming spring. Some of it is going to be a bugger but it is necessary. New back porch door is at the top. Followed by many other things. Vast things. Mega multiple things!!!!

I added some shot edits yesterday. I was going to do some more on that subject but, well, maybe I will maybe I wont... Its a problem as you get older that your attention wanders. Mine takes vacations. I will be looking for one thing and get off on another thing then another to the point that its past 8 and I am getting googly eyed. I try and try but it never works. Oh, and the shots I pick out for a tiny thing that turns out to take a massive amount of time to get right… I, Yi,  Yi!

I can understand the savings of trying to push more data down copper but its going to degrade soon. What is the cost of replacing all that copper with fiber.. could you not just pull the copper out as you pull the fiber in… and also selling that copper is a good bit of money and you get the speeds and you have a longer lasting link….
