Squandered day.

Not completely. Got the stucco patch, caulk, screws and bolts. Did not get the cement, rock moved. Did get the storage room set for envelopes. KAH is back in the storage room with PITS and up on a stand. It will take two more envelopes that my son chooses and the rest of the junk is going to the dump. Oh.. And the headboard I made and put on the wall is off the wall and ready to be repaired. It seems to have pulled loose. I have to re=screw it into the wall with better security and put a support on the bottom. Just time consuming. For tomorrow.

I worked on some more polars from older low res pictures and they suck... well not really suck but super limited. I did try some wide shots but again with so little resolution they just are barely there. Sad that you cant go back and restore those shots as you could film cameras... ah well.

Lower res... gritty.

High Res.. tight.

High Res... crisp

Lower Res.. very gritty.

Lower Res.. lighter so less noise.

So all in all.. Higher than 10 mpix if possible and as much light as possible. Gotta get out there. Sigh.

Just got back from a wonderful dinner at the melting pot with my brother his girlfriend and other good friends.. whew.. I am full! I think there should be taxi service from the restaurant. And I nee suspenders!
Whhhaaaaaaaaaaaaa............ BOOM!

Just a few links tonight.. Nothing much interesting....

Stickers I cant use at the office..sniff sniff...

Is there a rent a shovel? Must attach this to my shed wall. Though my Dad probably could have told me. If there is a job I am probably using the wrong shovel.. well Im probably using a rake.

I hate track pads.. like you cannot believe. Mice are one level higher than that but.. I have a kensington trackball. It is super accurate and I love the slick feel of it when it glides over its precision bearings.

Commuting

Having to drive back to work after getting home makes that trailer across from the office look real good.

Yep, Getting off at 10 after 5 then driving home in traffic... getting home and pulling out all the cables to find I had left my charger for my tablet on my desk. If I got a fleet side I could park it across the road. A nice awning... lawn chair, little footstool.. cooler full of ice cold milk with Oreo cookies and a book. Nice. I am seriously tired in mind and body. Done done done. I have all these plans to get things done on the weekend and when it gets here I am too tired to do anything. Even if I do.. I'm the only one doing anything. Hence the trailer. If I got direct TV I could get television but I probably wouldn't since I don't watch TV all that much and movies would be fine. So I would need a link but they have those. I could get a small apt. downtown and have 1/4 the commute. Ahhh... no yard to deal with... no piles of junk that don't belong to me laying everywhere. No picking up after everyone else. I think I am going to have to get off the subject.

I tried editing some old pictures and to a point it worked but they are not really good enough to do much with. I don't know.. Ill post them and look at them there.

Nice if a little blurred. At full size the speckling looks quite interesting in all the shots. One Windmill Planet.

Roswellian.

Railaround Las Vegas.

Classic Fronts.

Re-Routing

Well I don't know if they will go 20 inches by 20 inches but I may try to see if they look good.

I have some more to test out. They are good enough for computer backgrounds. Maybe someday I will get out and take some pictures again.

Links I found interesting.

With the vast amount of shoes in my house I thought this was apropos... Granted I only have three or four pair. Sneakers, Shoes, Boots and flip flops.

On this subject I have one think to say.. If you buy your MP3s from Apple your very money foolish.

Friday!!! Damn! t h u r s d a y.... Arrrrrcrap!

And here I thought it was Friday... Damn damn damn damn damn.

Twice today I got caught in the its Friday day... yay....

Right now I am happy there is a Friday tomorrow because I have a lot to do still this week... and next week is going to be a super freakin long week... There is a lot to do and none of it is real easy to do. Not hard process but hard long, convoluted and page after page of data entry. I think I will try and do as much as possible on Monday thru Wednesday in case something comes up Thursday or Friday, then I can jump right on it.

On top of that is prep for Fiesta. Everything but cleaning is done with the system. Its the house work and outside work that is not done. Its been too hot and now that its getting cooler there isn't much time left. Bah!

Ran some wide shots today. It was a break from Polars. These are a lower resolution so the crop is a little more severe. They still look nice.

Patturns In The Sky. A Blast.

2nd Kiss Ripples.

Corona Extra Dry.

Aerostar Sky.

The Lost Room Bus Ticket End Of The Road Not Anywhere Near Gallup But Cool None The Less.

Rising Storms.

Over the Top.

Going to have to work on the pano shooting in the near future. I have a few scattered around but its hard to frame a pano of three shots in a specific amount of time. Especially when flying a balloon.

Oh.. if your in town and want to help me transfer some envelopes and clean and condition a basket drop on by... lol.. Nothing like hauling it out and vacuuming all the dirt and rocks... wiping everything down...conditioning the leather..re-wiping it all down.. putting it all back together and then back in the trailer. Yeah baby.. awesome... Its better than white washing a picket fence!

I'll be waiting!

Here are some fascinating links... okay.. maybe not that fascinating... but interesting... well... something....

Since its talk like a pirate day... here is a link to what they usually ate... I am going for the malox...

Fast moving and particular.. That's French.

That is what I would call today.

I looked over the D600 today. One thing caught my eye. As a FX full frame camera it stated it lacks some of the pro settings of the D300. That's not good! What pro settings? I have to go research it on Ken Rockwell's site. Sigh! The darn thing is expensive too. I would have to sell my D300s and lenses to pay for it. Its attraction is the 24 mpix. I'm not too interested that it can do video. But I am interested in a limitation of my controls. Ill let you know.

Hmm... well the pros and cons are pretty thin. I'm not sure its worth the jump now. Hmm....
Why cant it be cut and dried. D600 24 mpx D300 12 mpx.. but since I can do a 20 by 30 inch photograph and bigger without pixelization (sp)... why go to something else. Hmmm...

I will have to look at it but right now its not much of a change. Not much of a change so not gonna happen. I believe I would rather put any money I would have to spend getting a new camera up to speed accessories wise and its overall cost that I could spend all that on a trip somewhere. Yeah... there ya go.

Here are some polars I did.. yes more polars.. and I have some wide shot edits too.. maybe a mix tonight.

Cola! This is a tiny crop of the sign it was on. No Pixels seen!

SAVE. This sign was angled and it had to be straightened out first.

66. Guess where this is.

El Aztec. This works just photo processed then polared.

HYPER! Have not had a Capp or Latte in quite a while.. okay... maybe a month.

I have a lot more but there is only so much time and so much ... well not enough time.. and lots to do still.

Blink and its over.

Not worth it.. nope. Screen printing is tough, time consuming.. think of doing this in huge size.. I know someone who does.. I stay amazed about it.

Flappers... not what your gonna see in the movies... Nope!

Oh.. so want to design monuments.. I can understand why these were not built... but you can see what was.

And.... not that I do any of these things.. ever....

Juggling.. a juggling along ( A wandering by Neil Young ) Sung by Steve Martin.

Okay! What’s with the baby and the bathwater... no... four pecks equal... no... A bird in the hand is a  messy.. no... feast or fathom.... nope... hmmmm  Ah... If you have two sheckles! Dang.

How come I am usually doing three things at one time? Its not.. THREE things.. but usually three processes going on at one time... I don't mind the juggling as it comes with the work but its Kooky!

I have one thing going.. then a left fielder throws a wild one.. and then a tackle around the knees happens.  Never fallen but boy it drags to do that juggling thing. I am learning things though. I would rather take it a bit more gradually...

Let me paint you a picture... say... you make yourself a nice....cup of tea... yes... stir in the milk a bit.. add a titch of sugar... nice cup.. with little deco square multi color patterns on it.. you reach down and pick up the cup with the very thin and fragile handle and close your eyes...breathing in the wafting pungent smell..... and just as your tipping it up you open your eyes and a bucket of chowder is slopped onto your face!!! YAY!!! Great Visual!

Lets be honest as we can here......... I don't like chowder. I do like a bit of English muffin though... with some grape jam and a few sausages! Yes! Perhaps a picnic in the park! With the muffins and jam. Or perhaps just a salad. Oh... BLTS! That's Bacon, Lettuce, Tomatooooo and Sand.. no... multiple BLT’s Yes.. right. No sand.

I gotta go get something to eat. hungry!! Foods and polars! Oh I did fix my website. WHEW!

Another run past... Chama Rail station. Next time I am up there I will set some shots just for polars. These are pushing it.

An old Route 66 gas station.

Head on stretch!

Hotel Motel.. Holiday Inn.

I have to figure out where I shot this last one and go back and frame it better. It would make a better polar with the sign closer to the edge. Still is suitably nice for the wall.

Off to find some links.

A most excellent movie the survives the times... Much better than a lot of crap that's out now. Please do not remake this movie.

I have to say that its about what I expect from this uncontrolled govt. Not all of it but most of it.  Go Brazil.

To my wine swilling friends out there... swilling..lolol.. Your nose is numb!

If I were to win the lottery or some part of the lottery or if I make a bundle somehow.. I want one of these baddies... Can you see me cruising through say.. Spain in this..

LOL.. kidding... Id go through Spain on a Harley Super Glide with sidecar, Fat tire special!

Think about it.

Yep! Its Monday

Get in early again today just to be smacked between the eyes again. I love email with indirect directives. Lets see if this works. If You Want Me To Do Something For You Spell It Out. Do Not Send Me Documents That Only Confuse Or Give Half An Answer. Give Me Steps Or Go The Heck Away! This is the part of my job that I do not like. I don't mind the paperwork or the filing or the memos or the contracts or the processing. I hate the misdirection or obfuscation! I understand that everyone is busy but so the heck am I. I do not have time to hunt for what you might mean. Tomorrow is going to be another day of stupid. I will do it though because I like the people I work with and I like the job. Its challenging when I get to do it. Juggling is not fun but expected.

Oh... last gripe of the night... Why is it that as soon as I sign someones leave slip there are four jobs more to do. Delegation only works if you have someone to delegate to. Gripe off.

I contacted my web site admin to see about the problems with my pages and how screwed up they are. They got back to me and told me where to go... nicely. After I finish this I will go try and correct my errors.

While I am doing that... here are some Polars I did. Some pare cool.. some are ho hum..

Gecko's. A nice split polar

Thunderbird. I love polarizing old car name plates.

Three Rivers Trip and Bow! Just a wall spun. Love the windows.

INVICTA. With a mirror in the center.

Tattoo. This would be better without the shadow. So So.

Hound Dog. If you can catch a sign just right it can be real cool.

Open. The other end of a neon sign.

They all came out okay. I have more and after I get my web page corrected Ill post them there with a ling here abouts.

Now some meh links.

Can we confuse the civil war any more? looks cool though.

http://gizmodo.com/this-100-year-old-infographic-maps-the-entire-civil-war-1325811874

The Olympics... Super MEH! Last time I tried to watch it the pathetic television company couldn't find there arse with their elbow. I doubt ill watch it. And this guy should be cared for for the remainder of his life by the govt. They have messed with him already.

Re you freakin kidding me?? 300 bucks.. not happening at that price.

http://www.engadget.com/2013/09/16/att-starts-taking-galaxy-gear-pre-orders-september-17th/

Not that I do this at all. Never stick it where you don't know what been stuck there before or whats behind the green door. Nice mod but pretty blatant.

http://www.gizmag.com/usb-condom/29078/

Yeah... I charge at home and the office from a plug. Never from a port. Granted my Galaxy S4 wont let anything connect unless you unlock and accept the link.

I think its a PBJ night.

Sunday afternoon finals

Just passed the AIBF Pilot Video Test. Well.. Now I guess I can go directly to registration. Too bad I will be going to the evening viewing.. hmmm... perhaps.

I spent today fussing over my leaking trailer. Looks like the sideways rain is either getting in through the vent or I have a leak. Just in case I had moved my envelope to the middle of my trailer and its already on a stand to keep it off the floor and I put a tarp over it. LOL. Yes. It was dry as a bone.. thank goodness!

I still have to find the leak.

Once I was assured the envelope was okay i cleared out ( to a point ) the shed and moved a few things around to fit the PITS envelope in there in her cart. Shes in. I have to move KAH but shes too heavy for me to deal with alone. I pumped up tires and sorted through chairs and boxes. By no means is the shed cleaned out. That is going to take a long day and I was drenched with only 3 hours out there. Soon.

Once I came in and washed up I was so exhausted I sat down.. and sitting down I decided to upload some edits to my photo website. Accidentally touching a new layout button cause the whole website to go nuts. Now I have to call or email them this week and get it sorted out. Its wacked! There isn't even a place to return to the original layout anywhere.

Totally frustrated and a massive headache later... But here are a few of the ones I uploaded.

For once I posted original size. HUGE!

Nice that size. All good for backgrounds and wall hanging or banners. I did a bunch of polars last night but too queasy to post or work on them. Takes too much time too. Maybe later.

Let see if there are any links worth spit out there today... PS only 19 days till Fiesta.

I found this last night and was impressed by how much has changed in 100 years.. and also how sad it is and also how much money some people had from the hard working people who made them all that money. Yes.. there is a divide betwen those corporate scum suckers and the working man. Is it fair no. Look at the RIAA.

Never mind me.

MIGHTY RIVERS!!!

Yes... I am yelling! Could it be that when we look for very very very old .. I mean so old its not even thought of old.. artifacts we are looking where the wouldn't be. If you tilted the earth it would make the hospitable inhospitable and visa verse.. so maybe there are a massive amount of things under the Sahara and we just cant dig deep enough or keep the sand out long enough... I am standing by for a re-tilt.
