Naturally.. with refined sugar.

What a title! Yep.. just came to me.... Photography is natural and then I add a bunch of refined bleached tasty sugar to it for all that serious sugar high... Y gotta do what ya gotta do. Which reminds me of treacle pudding.. which I miss a lot as the last time I had it was damn near 1983 or so.... Wooo.

I was watching a commercial for footwear or jogging short or maybe it was muscle rub.. whatever.. it showed all these people out there running up hills... sweating in stinky gyms... lifting things that didn't need movement.... and all that came to mind was... wow... how much time are you spending doing that.. and money... and your still gonna die. No.. exercise is fine... sitting in your chair is fine.... Shelling out money for special shorts that keep your thighs dry is very stupid. If you like hiking I can see doing that.. or if your into body building I can see that... I even can see if you want to run a race.. all good.. just remember .. all things in moderation... Where I went with that was wow.. out there... Sliding into your coffin at a full tilt should be how you end your life.... LOLOL. Enjoy it or try to.. That goes with jobs too... I was thinking how the generations are so very different.. ours is a work to live... now its do what you need to do.. and only that.... or is that too some fake message to our kids... keep em down and barely making it... I dunno...

Well.. lets get back to some nifty stuff... New Tech coming out... You know how you get reflections if you take a pic through a window.... heh....

Change that!\

Some pics I did the other day.... as much as yesterdays pics.. but different.. slightly.... very...

Choices choices.......

Great big ball in the sky.

Oh the pain and misery...

I have a book to read so I am off to read it... Just a short story but so far not too bad. Nobody's Home by Tim Powers.

Vantage Point

It's nice to take an alternate route to the house sometimes...even if its out of your way or way out of your way.... or if you have to go lock things up at a stinky place before getting on that road to where you left your house. Did it the other day and on the way to where I dropped the house I took some pictures. I took a bunch as it was so green it was stunning and the weeds were high everywhere. Plus the highway itself was cool and try and figure out how I got the shot I got.... I did also take some regular shots but the panos are what is cool. The smallest was 13,000 x 4000. I had to scale them down to fit here..

One of the favs for today. Caught the cloud crossing the Southern most volcano... in the huge picture you can see what fence line running East.. you can see it here but its small.

here are a few more and some non panos... What I am going to do with the full panos I don't know.

9 mile hill looking towards Albuquerque. Its a cool view day or night.

Volcano Tree. you cant get enough of this view but you can only see if sometimes and almost never so green.

CloudCross. Another view or angle. Its down the road and closer to "Atrisco Vista".

Glad I too the time after leaving the radar on the way home to take these pictures.

Here are some regular shots.

Swiggy Swo....

Walkabout.

Down and Out.

Nifty fun. love the roads out here in the West.. Long and straight and interesting... even in the main desert or upper mesa and plains.... Cant find this many places but you can always find it in the United States.

Memories of cruising the back roads with the windows rolled down.. heat haze on the road ahead... not racing but going..... arm out... clothes shifting with the micro gusts through the car.... Did this in my Camero once.. Not far but a ways... Also with the 350Z but the return was in snow.... Good memories on days like today where its 100 degrees and the sun is kicking down the door... I like to just keep the windows rolled up tight and the AC on high....Rock and Roll in the background....

If it wasn't for the dippos in the road in the fast lane going slower than the slow lane it would be the Bomb! Maybe a nice run to Vegas by way of the grand canyon is due in the fall... or maybe the spring... I have other places to go....

Oh.. Facebook banner is a ply on the above shots and one sad and lonely stop sign that gets attitude taken out on it all the time...

THis is nothing to the last one. It sits just outside the shooting range... why people cant wait to get to the range I don't know... Very stuuupid.

Off I go... in to the wild....

Distant Travels

A little spooked there?

I drove and drove today.. and drove some more... Never leaving the area in or around Albuquerque. I have seen more of I 40 from the big I to 9 mile Hill than in a long time.. Ugh.. Ridiculous amount of construction and funky people. I will say that I am completely amazed at the color green. Getting off at 9 Mile Hill and heading North on what used to be Paseo Del Volcan or some such with is now ..what.. Atrisco Vista.. or some other wack name... Its all freaking green. The volcano s are quite amazing. I thought I had weeds in my front yard... dang! The only worry I have is come next year and we get no rain it will all burn burn burn.... I hope it don't. It can burn my weeds in MY front yard but leave the remainder alone.. its quite nice.

Talking about high speed descents just now... Ive been to 1600 fpm and its a rush. Not something to do lightly or low. Its smart to not look down much.. or I should say.. direct your eyesight at what you want to see and not wander... Two hard burns stopped her in her tracks though. nice control... The other is ascending quickly.. That is really like a rocket launch... You can see that on my web site...

Here....

Wow..watching that again I really wish the other camera was working.. The traffic over Fiesta Park was in the ludicrous level... Had to nudge down at times and still missed the poles... That run was at a moment of time when the winds from Northeast to Southwest were kicking.. I only had 30 gal of fuel so had to run once on the field then find a  spot to land.. Crew were amazing at being right there to taxi me away.

Fiesta is 59 days away....

Some processed pics for backgrounds...

Blasters On Full.

Man Handled.

Woah! Dude!

Yeah.. fun... I have to run off and do some other stuff.. I may have something interesting tomorrow for ya.

Upkeep

Did I ever tell you I hate being a home owner. I really hate it. Other than the costly mortgage that never seems to end and the yearly taxes that never seem to stay in time to the worth of the house but spiral upward somehow even as the work spirals the other way its the damn upkeep! I am sick and tired of turning around every damn day to see something else that needs fixing or needs a specialist or needs money thrown at it. It really sucks! Some things would be fixable but it always comes down to one person doing all the work while all the others watch or sit around.. and that steams me to no end.

Soon.. all I can say is soon...

No time to get anything going photograph wise.. no time.. too sore... frustrated. What your gonna get is yesterdays shots a little modded. With a bit of explanation if I am able to do it.

Strikers.
Alternate source for spark if you piezoe wont work.

Upright Cups.
 Where you thick those poles.

Fan Go.
Switches to make that fan start blowing. For some reason the gas is on.

Last but not least is this below.
Black helmet bag. if you really want one I have one for you. Really?

It was a day ending with Suck. It was almost a good day with Dions green chili turkey pizza but then... the suck hit.

A Hard Days Morning!

Not very musically tuned.... it was a Hard Days Night.... And I was workin like a dog!

Try hefting two 15 gallon propane tanks into a flat topped basket from the outside. you cant just slowly lift them because you will end up hitting the wicker.. Nor can you just toss them over and let them land. You have to dead lift them quickly then catch them at the top and slowly guide them down the inside. it works nicely if you have a blanket to cover the bolster... then it will help the tank slide in. Ugh, but I think I trashed my right shoulder and upper arm muscle... Screams of pain and lots of whining going on.

Moving blankets work very nicely. The above picture is really of the other side of my basket showing the two carabiners with my tiedown strap set across it. Right before I tucked it away. Nicely.

I finished the trailer reconstruction ( except for three minor things ) today... This morning. Had to get up early and get to it before it got too hot out. Even then I was out till after 12. Very hot.. very dehydrated even with drinking tons of half and half water and cranberry juice.

I removed the white half inch thick mylar runners ( expensive ) I have had down since getting the trailer. They really helped getting the basket in and out but were a constant tripping hazard. I replaced them today with a truck bed liner I cut out and screwed down. Its very low profile and nothing to trip on. Its very nice. I expect it will make everyone happy not to have to look down to hump the fan over every time.

Then I had to put everything else back in... So below are some shots with explanations...

Empty basket back in trailer on nice new slick flooring. Black pad is down and ready for tanks.

Tank straps sitting on side waiting to be installed. There are six. One fell. The clamps and extra belt clips are very nice.

See the belt feeds over the metal and then you fold it in twos and feed it through that clip which protects you if you bang up against it. This is a lower belt.

Going to be a lot of pictures to show you almost everything. Sorry.

Upper belt installed. I like it to go over the tank so it can keep it from slipping out if I hit hard.

Fuel line connected from the manifold. A Glorious red QSO handle.

My POM tank. Its a little bruiser..nothing pretty.. just Piece Of Mind 10 gallons. Connected into the manifold.

15 gallon and 10 gallon and manifold in middle. Below that is my drop line attached to the basket.

Tiedown fed into the handles for travel. Right behind it are the clips for my document case. It never stays in the basket. Always in the house or with me. Foot step on that side below that.

Everything! Burners are in and secured to the handle. Upright covers and pole bag secured to it. All tanks in and strapped down. It looks like its tight in there but it really isn't. I stand in the corner where the burners are and I have my passenger stand in the bottom middle or between the other two tanks. I like to move about a bit and if needs be I can put a passenger in the back center ( top of pic ) of the basket. If I am carrying two passengers I will usually remove the 10 gallon tank.. ( no spare strikers in basket yet..Maps are in there though ).

Other side of trailer. Blue ring is for comfort of the crown crew person. Soft and wont squeeze on your hands. Misc straps in first bag. Refueling adapter and heavy gloves in second bag.. Pocket wall is for overflow and gloves.

The inflation fan! Rarely does anyone take a picture of the inflation fan. This one has a brand new engine in it as the last one got loose and fell over and caused it to die. This is seriously strapped down correctly and wont move until its unlatched. It has a P tip dual blade that makes the air spiral in nicely.

I also dropped the wall loops so that the basket and the envelope are tied in lower and more securely without flexing the basket against the padded bar. I removed all the other loops from the area so there isn't any confusion on which to tie off to and I cleared space for crew to put coats and backpacks and stuff on the side and out of the way. it should be much nicer now. I also replaced one broken loop from the door wall and added two more to keep the awning secure in two places.

Outside looking in. See the liner on the floor? Nice huh. Awning is strapped and secure. Tieoff line is attached and sitting on the floor right where it can be gotten to.

Things left to do... Fix the flag holders on the front of the trailer.. Readjust the spare tire support.. fix some of the broken lights. I didn't show you the helmet bag nor the crew hooks nor even the upper chair and table deck 9 though you can see it from here ).

Totally exhausted now. Been trying to let aspirin fade some of the pain. Have to do one more thing today before I can sit still again....

Here is my facebook banner and logo for the day..
Half the system page from my manual. Numbers changed to protect the innocent and fit the day.

Nice clip of the back end.

And because there are 16 pictures.. a funny... 17th.

Gone... enjoy the night.

Baffle Em With Bull S*&^

Saturday of things. That's about what was going on in my head about the situation with our news idiot outlets.. Keep up the stream of crap.. don't let anyone have the time to verify facts.. blast out snippets and let the sheeple munch away. Looooosers!!! Its as bad with consumerism... You dont NEED it but you N E E D it before you neighbor has it or your a Looooooooooooooooossseeeerrr..... Yup... That one sucks me in sometimes too.... buyers remorse or pre buyers remorse... stills me in my tracks.

I was talking to good friends last night about that. I would love to have a new pin design made but I still have a bunch of the original versions. I cant justify buying a bunch more. Now. Maybe in a year when the last of the first set is down to ten.. then I will. I do have to make a logo for the trailer and that is giving me fits. Mainly I am running out of time and cant stick on one logo. Above are just a few scratch drawings of ideas...

The first Patturns In The Sky logo and pin design are still on the trailer. Its been five years on that. I loved the on point square or wide diamond of that design. So I was thinking that it would work for both Patturns Highperactive and Kiss A Hoy. With changes to the center. Kiss A Hoy I want to look like a hazardous material sign.. and PH I would change the wings in the original PITS pin to the racing heartbeats and maybe some sun rays from the bottom in a nice Art Deco look. This would then work into the net sets of pins. Still mulling it but really running out of time.

Other things done today were to total revamp of the computer rooms work spaces. I had two monitors... on the left the main with surface stand and speakers and on the right table another monitor for the xbox and beside that was the scanner, underneath was the big computer I use for transferring files.. It was all over the place and messy where I hate messes.. Look at my work desk... I cant stand clutter.. I will work within it but at the end of the day I have to have it cleared up.

What I did was remove the big computer and set it up outside the computer room for the son to do training on for his job and access for the daughter if she needed it. That can be wheeled anywhere in the house or put away. I set up a tight single display place with the smaller screen to my left for the xbox. its all so better now and nicer to sit at.

Its getting there. The wall o pins ( half of them ( unset pins are on the top of one frame ) so many pins ) with the awesome four Pilot display in center. Its going to work well as I can even get to the usb hub easily without it getting in the way too. Scanner is within reach so that would hopefully make me scan things here. This also clears off the other work surface for laying photographs out or drawing or other things of that nature,... Clay seems to be calling but I have no clue why. I don't really want to draw.

Tomorrow is the liner wash and cut and install. Then after that is the basket system reload and prep. I hope to have that done before the heat hits outside. Then I have to hunt paperwork up.. I have no idea where what I am looking for is if it even exists anymore. I have a bad feeling its gone for good.

I did get out and braved the walmart. Parking lot full of people who seriously need instruction and a good wack on the back of the head. No ability to drive straight nor follow basic road signs.. Wow!

Inside was pretty normal. only two "cart across the isle" dingleberrys. It was a surgical strike so in and out and gone.

As I was digging through other stuff looking for that log I kept running across things like those below. I have been in Fiesta how many years.... 14 with this year.... Wow... Love it.. Just wondering when I will have to hang up the burners... Bob's still flying so that's a measurement of something.. not sure what....

Well I will think about it... sometime....

Last nights banner had seven 63's in it... No one found all of them and I can understand why as one blurred out under compression... so today I set that aside ( it was taking ages to find hiding places ) and just put up a nice morning shot of the Balloon Museum... The logo is a play off my Pilot light knobs and the lettering / icons on it... Which I really love. Then flashed the PH on it too with some dissolving stuff...

Rather fun to keep doing this stuff. O is for off as 1 is to on. Arrow to the place holder... line to the other number and I see an error... hahahahaha.. funny.

Oh well.. I will have to correct that quick.

One would never work... and sorry I really need it all sugarcoated!
