Error 303

Or 303rd post.

Oh the pain.. the agony…. Oh… sorry.. continuation of yesterdays rambling…

No. Mostly just the impending doom. Doom Doooooom… Go watch Invader Zim Episode 1.

Get back to me. No really… Watch the whole thing. Its very interesting and funny.

It relates to today at every turn.

OKay almost every turn.

Fun today trying to change one code group and it refusing to do so. Says its updated but when you go back in and look at it.. nope.. it changes back… quite interesting. The insanity bit.

Plus for the day. Information.. as in why am I doing this and why do you not have the information already and again why are you pestering me for information I do not have and have to ask others for which you should already have done. My plight. Oh.. and at the last minute too. Lets just hold this information for a month then give you a day to do it in. You do understand that it make em look like total fools. Also the loss of confidence is amazing.

Tonight as I was reorganizing my files to make it easier to move the raw files off and keep their headers then have to retype every one. So far three years down. I am going back to front so it get quicker as I go. Since I started shooting raw only a few years ago…. Then its going to be move delete..move delete…Then verify and mirror.

I did find a few flower shots that were worth editing. Some I spent a lot of time on and some I got to the point of just say.. Gaaaaaaa…..   Here you go.. The Gaa shot will be the last one.

Smells Wonderful.
Along the line of shot I will start working on soon.

Focal Burst.
When is it good to stop.

Lilac Lights.
I only selected to do the petals. Pretty tough to do.

Climbers.
You can zoom in on this shot all the way. I did each vine and bud. wooo..

Happy Weeds.
Trying to differentiate each plant and where the flowering portion ends and the sky starts and and and. gaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

Some stuff you might find… good to read over dinner. Or a snack… yeah.  A snack.. pie sounds good again… pie…..

Wool He sounds just like I expected him to sound. Or had I heard him before. I do not have the brain type to deal with these things… It jumps around too much.

Pass on the gaga part of this story…. Cool ballooning lady….

They held out as long as the could. Perhaps its time to rethink this… hahahaha

And if you didn't know this.. here it is in a blog.

Tomorrow is going to be a DAY.

Biting the bullet.

From the old wild wild wild wild… west.

Not quite running out of space on the hard drives…. But… I have been dithering on what to do about the amount of files on my photograph drive. I have all the raw shots mixed with the jpg mixed with the edited shots. Not a good mix either. I have decided the best route.. and probably the most painful is to move all the jpg's into their own files and the raw into its own file. The edits will stay with the jpg's so I don't have to remember where the shot came from. This should ease up a lot of space on my drives. So.. shuffling is going to be going on. If Raid systems were cheaper I would get a 10 terabyte raid. 5 2tb drives.. and set it up to mirror or be rebuild-able if a drive failed. Waiting for them to get cheaper. Until then I have been mirroring external drives. It takes a while this way but its the safest way as drives are bound to die around the 4 year mark.

Right now there are very good deals on drives. You can get a 3.5 external 3 Tb drive for 130 dollars and 2 Tb smaller cased drives for 100 dollars.. They even have 4 Tb out there. Its super cheap. Though running these sizes you really need a computer with 3.0 USB ports so you can transfer, search and edit faster than pokey 2.0 USB standard. Most motherboards have 3.0 and 2.0 ports. And hubs are reasonable too if you need more ports than your PC has. Most have no speed degradation. Check Amazon out. I price matched between Amazon and Best Buy and right now its cheaper from Amazon even with shipping two day. You have to keep a sharp eye out because sometimes Best Buy is cheaper. Not often but sometimes.

Here is what I was messing with this evening.

Just a few Motel signs on Route 66 / Central. Not all but a few. Too bad the sky was clear.

Ree Local Calls!

Family Units.

That a way.

Hmm.. Hourly?

Sign only The rest of the motel is gone.

We did a big cross country trip when I was a kid.. Another story.

And the obvious linking…

Awesome-er!!!

Sad but heartening tale. I liked Dick York.

I like this idea. How bound putting it underground.. not deep.. just under and build parks and houses and such above.

Huh… huh… huh….

Storage.. no cables… wool… not too bad.. and some other stuff..

Hah!… I say HAH!  Been past there… done all the things and out the other side.. well almost…

Not mentioned in this is … one.. Baby poop is a weapon of mass distinction. Snot Suckers…. Collick! Teething. Lifestyle changes are amazing. What is bad is when people have children and they don't change. They stay self centered. They expect everyone else to watch their child, They don't feed them or feed them well. They leave them alone. They do not connect danger and location. They don't think that that child can hear and will remember much of what happens to them even at that young age. Oh.. and discipline. You have a choice.. make and enforce your rules or you will have a rule less uncontrolled adult child. I love my kids. They turned out great. Some rough edges but hay.. I still have rough edges. One. I cannot believe how lazy I am when I am slightly under the weather ( which seems to be always now ). Oh.. and everything aches! Why is it that now it aches.. or is it before I would stop aching at some point so I forgot about. The pain. Oh I could go on…..

Nerf Day.

Warning. The nice web blogging site is screwing with my font. Pardon their failure.

I believe everything should be covered in Nerf foam. ( I just deleted a whole page of things that irritate me ). Let me leave this here… There was a very wise man who said..

And this ditty…

I'll leave it at that.
Oh… on a lighter note…. If you are driving on any road. Pay attention to your driving. Period! Not because you are not but because the other person probably isnt. Be safe. Be here past the holiday insanity. I like you!

Today has been a day of interruption. One after another. I did get some things done but all in all I did more to assist other with information than I get information given to me… Barring a few good people.

It was a late one too. Due to side duties I picked up. Interesting that no one caught what I caught and its Nov the 12.

Let see what I can find that is out of the ordinary to edit tonight……. Dot dot dot dot..

I will get back to different things but right now.... Its what I am doing so its what I am showing..

Ah.. well I did find some shots that I took with a 10.5 fisheye lens. Beautiful lens. Amazing clarity and novel view from it. Too bad its hard to find worthy subjects. I might do a big nose shoot.. that might be fun.

Parts. If you're waiting for a pump you are going to wait a little longer.

Through the Green Door. This was a little store before it was taken over by a loonie. If you look in my galleries you will see this building covered in old signs. Not making it pretty at all. And loonie.

Duce on the Ground. There are a few very nice trucks around New Mexico. This one is a favorite.

NOSES! You cant beat the schnozz on this one.

Rainbow Blues. Beautiful and now gone!

You can see what the lens does to the shots. Just moving the horizon up or down changes everything.

I cant believe how many pictures I've edited and forgotten when posting to my web site. Yikes! I am so very mixed up. Time to clean up again. What kind of file system do you have for your pictures. I go by Date / camera / lens / subject. Sometimes its good.. sometimes not. I also have to move the RAW shots off and store them elsewhere.

Oh so many good blogs today to look at.

And... Oh so very weird!

Hard drive life expectancy. Woah! Glad I have duplicates of each drive. Its a good idea.

Never had this problem. I usually stay at Homewood Suites.. I can do whatever I want with the air or heat there. But hay...

Still not there yet. Yeesh.... I want.. Oh I've said this all before. A watch with clock that can be changed face wise and mail and facebook and text links so I don't ahve to take my phone out. ok.

Veteran's Day

AS a vet...and no I don't think of myself as a veteran even though we were at war during my time in the military. I give a good stiff and respectful salute to all who serve under fire and deal with all the problems that are connected with being away from home and family. I did a two and a half year remote tour. It was nothing like what our guys and girls are doing now and under what they are working with now. Keep up the good job!

Its early and since I have it off ( awesome ) I am sitting around surfing the nets for interesting things. I found a few. Gonna mix it up a bit today.

Here are the links first.

If you want to hide your display from prying eyes this is the way. The best way is to NOT USE YOUR COMPUTER IN A PUBLIC SPACE FOR PRIVATE STUFF! Use your cell phone or deal with private stuff at home. Remember that any public access can be monitored. Hot spot your computer to your phone.

Goofy. But true. Most technology advances are to make money or to lessen the cost of something else. From construction to tech. Even growing things. There are some very fantastic pieces of tech out there that don't see the light of day because there is no money in it.

http://gizmodo.com/the-truth-about-new-technologies-1462113828

Not that I ever wanted to live in New Amsterdam ( York ) but this could be any big city. Finding a moderately priceed rental that isn't bad or have some bad segment is hard. Love the idea of parking a trailer or other type rolling home across the road from work and live there. On weekends drive it somewhere I want to take pictures of and stay there. All it would need was  a net link. Via 4g phone and power via generator and heat via propane.. I've been nomadic all my life till I hit Albuquerque so.... its a thought.

Fake spotting. In fashion and tech there are lots of fakes. The report goes into such but also throws out a ridiculous  price of loss of revenue for the makers of the real items. Sorry. Most people don't or can't spend 500 dollars on a bag. Sorry, I don't think a bag would ever be worth 500 dollars. Its like Diamonds... all hype and control. IF you want to have something that looks nice but your not wanting the charge then go get a fake. There are reasons to buy the original thing. Durability, Warranty, Need of the buyer.

Against my protocols. Here is a fifth link.. cause its interesting... Nothin much to say about it other than... huh. How accurate some of these are I do not know. Pretty interesting even though.

Now.. I did some editing last night of old files. These shots are less than stellar and taken with a non DSLR. See what you can get out of a regular camera...

Building Nimbus. Not really, but through the windscreen driving one handed shot.

Kiss A Hoy. Ground tracking what is now houses sadly.

Low Color. Very limited camera. Still nice.

A Side Road. Gone now. Never had the chance to stop and get better pictures of this.

Confusion by the Masses. Stopped during a chase of Mass Confusion and set up the shot. Hand held mini camera.

Wings in flight. Durango Rally. Those silver birds weigh a heck of a lot.

Kisses Of Fire. Very nice tight flame.

What you can do with old and sometime's very limited digital files is amazing. And I am just scratching the surface of editing.

Enjoy the rest of your Veterans day. I have plans but it all depends on how energetic I feel. No headaches yet so it might be possible. Asta La Vista!

300th blog.

Quantity, quality,, 300. Every day, sick or not, happy or not...right from downtown my cratered brain. You got it. What ever I am thinking of at the moment. Or have been thinking about..

Its Sunday and its quiet. As my brain rages against itself I have been trying to do something other than curl up in a ball. I even did a photo-shop for the heck of it. Now I am uploading no. 8 black and white colorization gallery. Things I have edited from the 3rd of Nov onward. Pretty much anything that looked worth the time it takes. Not everything though. Other than a few today of yesterdays ballooning I have not done any more balloons. I will upload more in a while if I can stand it. It was a three part process with some of today's edits. From cropping to tone mapping to colorizing. I am using a lot of the wide edits I have done for my computer background. Even though I usually am thoroughly tired of looking at some I do like these enough to stare at them for a while. I also at last processed and loaded two videos I had been sitting on. One.. a while and the other .. just a bit. Both are on my web site and are great fun. Friends and or Crew antics make them great.

I still have not figured out how to get my computers off the table top in the computer room.. My two options are, under the table or on a shelf against the wall beside. Both have their drawbacks. Why you ask do I want them off the tabletop? Because they are in a corner. Do not get enough airflow and take up a lot of space. They are both 8 inches wide and 18 deep and 17 high. 8 inches between them causes the heat from one to be sucked into the intakes of the other. I know. not a big problem but hay.... It keeps bugging me. Go figure.

I would love to get rid of them both and buy a all in one PC but there are drawbacks with that too. What you ask? Oh.. Biggest... If the monitor portion dies... well... your done. Unless you want to put one in front of the other. The other... No upgrading.. though I have only upgraded one of the latest PCs it was pennies to do over a whole new PC. And took about 20 minutes.... and now hauls butts. Yes.. Butts... The paradigm has shifted and I think I need a change. I just don't know if its the right change. Ya know....

Here are a few from today....Take yesterday while flying.. Which is very hard to do when you are ground tracking.

50 balloons. A large rally anywhere else in the world we do almost every month. And always a good cause behind it. AAAA!

Looking Down. Taking this picture while flying and somewhat afraid of heights...

Rainbows without the rain. Every balloons color and design is special to each Pilot. All have a story to tell about it. That would be a good entry for the Cloudbouncer. Whats the story behind your balloon and its name. Hmmm...

Lovers Triangle. There is an X there in the shadows.

Diamonds Down. Just switching Pilots and  fooling about.

May more but I have yet to edit them.

Slim pickins today on the net links...

This one. Uh.. why not hang from the rafters?

Can we get any closer?

OK.. okay... ok..... I was so tempted to cancel the flight this morning last night but didn't because it sounded so fantastic. Sinus headaches and other age degradation's made me hesitate but glad I did..

Thanks to Rory, Joe, Mary, Hannah, Douglas and Freeeed for the crown assist. We went from the ground.. climbed up over another balloon.. down in a spiral and ground tracked up a slight hill.. feeling the rollers of wind ( very light ) eddies. Rising when your not burning and going down when you are... well.. we did a lot of LOPING today. Then since we were not going South enough I cranked the burner up and we headed up at about 900 fpm to grab hold of the South East wind... which worked but from what I could see on the ground we had to slightly fly past the target to the South then drop and go North West on the ground to the target.. Sadly when we got close to the ground the wind has gone away. Oh well, No luck there. We headed up to see if there was anything in between that was going the way we wanted to go.. NOPE.. all East and fast ( 20 mph ). Dropped out of that and then saw this nice park...grass...wooo... Radioed to the crew and popped back up to get over the park... Dropped back out at 800fpm and landed just outside the green due to a funny acting breeze. All good though. The crew taxi'ed me to the grass.. then onto the tarmack of the parking lot as the grass was.. WET!!... Oh well.. go try.. great flight... Fantastic video and lots of pictures from friends...

When we go home after a sweet tailgate it was rest, meds, dump videos and pics and edit one video which I think if great too. Here are a few that I took and edited a bit..

Up and off and chasing the 49 other balloons... WAIT UP!!

Looking back at the launch site.. Just right of the leftmost balloon. CREWED!

Back down to grab the breeze going East. Can I Get A Tow?

Looking East as that's the only direction I can get. Desert Colors.

All the lucky balloons getting near the target. Close Isn't Enough.

Seriously nice day... One last one...maybe two..

Here is the nice park... too bad they watered this morning. GREEN!

Laid out in short order. Popped the top and down she came. Patturns Highperactive flew wonderful today.
Love this balloon.. Thanks again LindstrandUSA!

Ouch. I can only say... sad... sad sad...

Na Na na Na. Na na Na na. Hey Hey Hey.. it be Friday!

And it dragged on. Filling all that time with entering property and fielding calls and visitors didn't make it go any faster.

Tomorrow is the AAAA meet in Rio Rancho. I am bringing out the balloon but we will see if there is any crew. I sent out an email early in the week but it went nowhere it seems. So I had to send another yesterday… which is very late. I don't know if anyone can make it out so….Oh well I can take pictures if anything.

Tonight I was sill looking through the files but the portals are few and far between. I keep getting stopped by other pictures. I have to learn to keep going…. Well I am going to try that now.. brb.

Well.. some good, most meh.

The Good Stuff.
Back roads of New Mexico you can almost find anything.

7R3L3L1
 Subtle.

Seat o Corn.
Blah picture came out better. Could be much better.

Shut the Dang Door!
Don't ask me why people have to destroy things.

Amperes.
 Just the basics.

 Tumbling Tumble Corona.
So much for that 6 pack.

Just Another Open Door.
The wallpaper was quite interesting too. A little busy for me though.

Mostly.

Eat more chocolate!

Um.. yes..yes.. no..yes…

The loss of the libraries of Alexandria…. Gov't subsidies… stop with these. And now.. digital. There has to be a way to load everything some where or a bunch of somewhere… or move multiple segments around.. but do it. If you have copywriter stiff put a charge to access it.. come on! Its easy.

Love clocks.. and this is a wild story… plus.. Art!
