Naturally I spent some time dinking around with old pictures... well not that old but not new.

Ill post some in a bit.

So for a Monday is was a Monday Monday. Four of twelve assets loaded. Eight more to get the documents together on and then process. Plus there are some irregularities in costs, totals, separated amounts, and who owns it!? Not of it my direct fault but I am going to have to puzzle it out. Not going to happen soon as the govt is deciding weather it is going to strangle itself. I will be working still. Its going to be interesting. I am glad I will be working. Its going to be very complicated but hay.. what more complication on top of confusion and misinformation already. I mean misinformation in the case of getting the wrong answer to the right question which just causes more confusion. It goes like this... I ask a question and the person I ask the question of answers with a different question and an answer that fits neither. But I digress.

On another continuing subject... THE D600 is overpriced and underwhelming!!! Bah!! I SAY BAH!!
I am sticking with the D300 until Nikon gets there (*&^ together. At this moment they are as bad as Crab Apple. Lets just fix something but take away four things. Not looking at it again. Ill take advise and stick with the fun. Plus all that money I would have to get selling all the other stuff ... a tiny amount of it can go to printing some of the stacks of pictures in my files. Yes I will... no really.. watch me!!! Hah!... okay not quite yet.. lots going on soon. Fiesta starts soon and I have to do the fly work sleep fly work sleep thing.

Fiesta...Arriving Track 2

Fiesta is two days away... count... Wednesday evening is the first registration day. I plan on registering that day just in case I have to work Thursday and Friday. Thursday if I am not working I will be out at the Fiesta field helping out new Pilots on what is where. Friday morning we are standing up the balloon at an Elementary School for the kids.. after that it will be breakfast, refueling, and more assisting new Pilots. Then the real party starts. Not ready... really. I did get the basket all cleaned up...

Leather is all conditioned, basket is clear of rocks and sand and such. Stitched up my pole bag. Only cleaning the burners left. I even vacuumed my trailer and caulked the possible leak spots. The boys did the backyard... Pretty good...

A few things out there to do but not today.. fried myself with the main stuff. Now its all sit down.. have lunch do some pictures and search for some cool links. Did miss ballooning this morning but that was due to my phone dying and being able to sleep. Yay sleep. Here are a few of the shots I edited wide. I went and did a bunch of wides of the balloon so I can change my facebook page top every day until Fiesta.

Had to recreate the Cloudbouncer from scratch after a corruption killed it on my external drive. Just got it back together from the jumble it was. Now its saved on two things. Another hard drive and a thumb drive. You see what time it is? Almost 8pm. I have worked on it since 12pm... woosh! Okay I took a break to eat and look at the great jobs the boys did on moving rock. So. I have to process the files tomorrow into PDF format but then I will send them off to be checked.

Now I can go do some processing of pictures. Tomorrow I will clean up the outside a bit and clean up the balloon. If I get any sleep tonight I will try and go ballooning.. just out for the fun.

Aside from some great conversation that's not connected to any of the crazy stuff that happened today.. it was another.... different... off the left day.

Had a furniture delivery that was supposed to be between 8 to 11am. It showed up after 3pm and was broken worse than the one it was supposed to replace! Oh and the other broken piece was not even on the truck. I have nothing good to say about this company right now. They have let me down three times now.

Then there was a problem with the locations of some archived data. Since all the upgrades, locations have changed and we are still trying to figure out where they are and how they get moved about. It was not fun. Id like to be able to access the system and make it right but the data is too critical to lose...sooooo.... I suggested the files be copied to another location for the time being and when Monday comes we can dig around and get things right. Ugh! QUIRKY DAMN SYSTEM!

Taos Flowers

In your face.. with some pretty flowers. That's a change. These are garish other than the third one which I think would make a nice wall picture around 5 feel wide. It was brought to my attention today of a story I read about our dwindling bee population. I remember the story but the conversation was eye opening. I was not aware that you could nurse a bee back from being almost dead. If a bee is sitting there you can get some honey water and if early enough bring it back to life. I am impressed. I will be keeping my eyes peeled when I am outside more now.

Green Chili Pizza

Nothing gets you through the day of mounds of paperwork than a nice piece of green chili cheese pizza! Just waiting for it you can work very hard....and then when you are munching on it you can get a lot done too.... and after.... while its burning away in your stomach you get more done while savoring the smokey greeness of it all. Thanks Dee! Our Science Officer bought it for the office along with a couple others and salad.. which I had no space for after two slices. Wooo... I did in fact work through lunch as I normally do. I don't know... I just do. All the better with chili. Scrambled eggs with chili.. red.... its tang and slight bite give eggs a kick in the teeth. You do not know what your missing. Fiesta is coming up and there is more to be had.....

I would say after the smell of chimney smoke, green grass and fresh brisk air of Bath, England I will take Albuquerque's smell of sage and chili on the cooling winds with a the musky smell of the desert anytime.

If there was an interdimensional gate between the two places I would be in heaven. Okay... lets just get the two hour flight times from ABQ to LHR in London and I'm good. I could do a commute. Granted the call back costs are going to go up a bit. LOL!

I did a few more edits.... strangely I skipped over these until now. And since I want to go "think" about ballooning stuff I should get this out there.

All nice and clean as the day is long. Okay, a bit smuggy.

Confirmation and a wack on the side of the head all in one day. Yes I know there isn't much I could do about it but danged if I can't still beat myself up about it. Then there is the second thinking myself and the checking and verifying and the  rechecking. If this keeps up I am going to be a little like that Monk show guy. Its bad enough I have to stand in my cube and look around a few moments before I leave every day. I have been rechecking numbers and codes and numbers and more codes. I even left a pile of paperwork on my desk because I was grinding my teeth with ineffectiveness. Blah!

Even stopped at the store on the way home to get some foods to eats... Orange Chicken. Now home I want to collapse and hide. Okay maybe not hide as melt. Where is the serving staff??? Oh I forgot... I have to drag myself to the microwave... LOL... Even the drink fairies are off the job. No juice for you!

Only about 8 days till the start of Fiesta for me. 9 for others. 7.5 to the kickoff registration. 3 till Saturday and massive cleaning and fixin. Less than a day till tomorrow. Hold on its gonna be a bumpy ride. Fasten your seatbelts... put your tray tables up and seats straight. Stow any luggage you took out. Dance like you own the sky!

Major fried brain. Feels like a migraine but is a sinus headache. A very painful headache. Well, still have to go on.

I did get information that it is still possible to get balloon cards made. I uploaded the front and back twice. Hopefully they got them. I maybe should email the files too. BRB. Okay.. wow those files were HUGE!!! Had to go back and edit them down and make them JPG files. Then send them off to the card maker. Wah!
Too much too fast too late too poopy.

Having to edit my card design and well.. every ding dang darn part. But its a fun card.

Blur.

I'd say that was my day but that would be stating the obvious. It is usually a blur. Today was blurrier. Hay, that's a word! LOL. I could go on about conversations I had today and how easy it is to make a mistake but I wont. Cruising to work today and also on the way home I had in my head how very excellent this world is even when not quite in focus. As I was sitting here I looked through the files and thought some look better somewhat blurred. I did a bunch of polars too because that "what I do". I like some others point of view. Cant say I like looking at shots I take when I intentionally take them. I like it better when I take them from the hip so they are a surprise to me too. You get a lot of bad shots but once in a while....

I could see this on my wall. The levels of obsuration ( my word ) were more intense than the camera could deal with. Look at this at normal size and you can see some of it.

Fiesta blurred edge. I left this one alone and you can see the edge effect.

One of my favorite drives. On the other side of the State from the first one and on the other side of season too. Again.. there were levels of obsuration that the camera cant see which were awesome to go through. Veil after veil of white.
